I very much feel you on Void Stranger. That’s been my experience, still after about 7 hours. I’m still waiting for some sort of twist that makes it all worth it, but yeah, it’s still Sokoban. Not like a bad one, I guess? But it’s just not my style of game.

Could you let me know of a $200 device that includes all of the controls of modern consoles and would let me easily stream PS5 games? And doesn’t require you to awkwardly clip it onto another controller?

Except likely without the museum stuff surrounding the games, which is the draw of that collection for me.

I’m always on the lookout for games like this, where there’s a lot of really surprising stuff hiding under the surface. Stuff like Doki Doki Literature Club, Frog Fractions, or Candy Box 2. Any other ones I should look at?

They’ve been doing it longer, but they haven’t invested as much as Microsoft (I don’t think). It’s part of their strategy, sure, but Microsoft is going hard on streaming.

The Stadia streaming tech is top notch, Google just handled the business side pretty poorly. One of the big console players would be smart to try to make a deal, especially Sony or Nintendo who haven't invested as much in it yet.

Exactly. The title was just announced, and we’ve only known it as the untitled BOTW sequel for years. We’ll all be very comfortable with the new title well before release.

I went to GameStop to ask about this today, and they said that word came down from above today that they needed to be destroyed, and couldn't be given away.

Thanks for editing out the Twitter handle of the original person with the very wrong take. I also enjoy laughing at someone who says the exact opposite of the truth in a condescending way, but man, this person has certainly learned their lesson over the past few days.

Tetris 99 isn't a free game, it's included in a subscription.

I mean, one of the two PS5 models doesn’t play discs, so.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it was originally called Exo.Primal to show its connection to Gun.Smoke. In fact, if you look really carefully, you can still see where the dot was in the logo.

Anyone who thinks that Nintendo might sue a company for not copying anything specific, just, you know, the whole vibe or whatever... take a look at Joust and then Balloon Fight.

It does play DVD video.

If a game launches on Game Pass and you’ve pre-ordered it, request a refund. You’ll get it.

And once you've finished it, Virtue's Last Reward is somehow even better.

Yes, I have very young children. I simply cannot play unpausable games.

They didn't announce any sort of release window until fairly recently.

I highly recommend Hypnospace Outlaw to anyone who ever used the internet in the 90s. The controller will work fine, but you can use a keyboard and mouse.

It works very well. I’ve forgotten that the game wasn’t playing locally, which honestly never happened with Xbox streaming. They just kind of dropped the ball with everything other than the tech.
