Yeah, I think that’s 100% right. Xbox just lets you download; PS Now would let you download or stream. Add a $10 download-only tier, and they’re matched with MS on features and cost.

If you’re an active subscriber, I see no reason why they wouldn’t let you download the games locally to your PS4 to play them, if you chose. Less bandwidth for them, better performance for you.
The last sentence sums up my feelings entirely. This game is so great.
Considering my Rock Band 1 instruments and songs still work on Rock Band 4, which is still receiving new songs and updates, I’d say they have a great track record of supporting things for a long time, as long as there’s at least a small group of fans left.
Good news!
Yes, and individual rooms in Rogue Legacy are crafted, but the arrangement of them is random. That’s a good compromise. I do love Rogue Legacy, but the bosses are the only part that’s overcoming a challenge; everything else essentially boils down to grind, improve, repeat. Nothing wrong with that! But Flinthook looks…
Real excited until I saw “randomly-built.” I’m sure it’ll still be fun! But I greatly prefer something tightly crafted and refined, rather than something RNG threw together right after I pressed start.
I thought Plague of Shadows was great, definitely worth $10 and phenomenal as a free update. But, unlike Shovel Knight’s campaign, which I played to death and got every achievement and still wanted more, I just played Plague Knight once, had a good time, and was done with it.
I suggest that no one buy the standalone Specter of Torment. If you’re interested in this game at all - AT ALL - get the Treasure Trove. The original Shovel Knight is fantastic, it sounds like this is great too, and with the Treasure Trove, you’re basically getting Plague of Shadows and King Knight for free.
Grow up, Microsoft. I understand having it off in the Japanese release, but just saying “no male nudity on our system, but female is okay” is pretty backwards.
Stop, stop. I have Zelda, then Nier, then Nioh and Horizon. I don’t have time for this. Stop it.
Exactly. No excuse for a new, $50 Bomberman to not be clearly the best Bomberman. When $20 gets you Snipperclips or Fast RMX, and $60 gets you Zelda, $50 better get you something way better than this.
I played it at a Switch event, and my main complaint is that Bomberman ‘94 is 1/10 its price on the Virtual Console, and just as good. Better, actually, since it’s 60fps. The only thing Super Bomberman R has over it is 6-8 player modes, which are probably fun, but the game will be pretty cheap before I have more than…
I’m also a big fan of Nier and Platinum, been looking forward to the game like none other. My plan was to play Nier first, then Zelda... but then early impressions for Zelda started coming in, and I really no longer have a choice.
Also Danganronpa VR, on Playstation VR, March 7.
Breath of the Wild is thanks enough, Nintendo.
I think we’ll have the ability to move saves to the SD card in a later update, for sure. Weird that they don’t have that in there yet, but it’s pretty clear the whole operation was rushed to be out before the fiscal year was over, and to coincide with Zelda being ready. If either one of those wasn’t happening, it…
This, I think, is part of the reason that Nintendo is playing cards (even) closer to their chest now. If they announce a game a year before its targeted release, it could come out a year and a half later than that, plus the many things could change. By announcing it for the Wii U, they locked themselves into releasing…
Nintendo’s online service requires that you have a powered on cell phone within four feet of your controller to use it. So...
For what it’s worth, once I got mine home, I did the update immediately, and I can’t get the Joycon to lose sync, even when covered or behind my back. I’m wondering if this has something to do with wireless interference combined with obstruction?
