The simplest reason: this is a system seller, and nobody has a Wii U. If you have a Wii U, go ahead, get Zelda there and wait. If you don’t, and you’re going to buy a new system for Zelda, make it one that’s got a future, and not one that’s dead at the same price.

I’m not actually as bugged by the friend codes this time as I was last time. This prevents people from randomly adding people, but if we can still add people locally and from our recently played gamers list, that’s not really a huge issue. Just a little annoying.

Did you play with Joycon, and if so, did you use the directional buttons? I’m curious how they’d feel in a game like this. The lack of a real d-pad is my biggest concern about handheld mode.

Games with Gold gives you 4 games a month. This gives you 100 games right now.

That is exactly right. They want new content NOW, and they want to be done with that content NOW.

Great. Make them rare, make them special. And it’s only been a week and a half! It should take a while to get them.

It neither surprises me that there are games that require the touchscreen, nor does it surprise me that Nintendo hasn’t shown any games like that. Their message has always been 1) play the same game on TV and portable, and 2) this is a replacement for the Wii U and not the 3DS. I expect we’ll see more games like this.

Making your first playthrough of RE7 in VR is possibly the best video gaming experience I’ve had in 30 years. It’s being sold short, I think, because most reviewers play it all the way through on the TV, then pop the headset on to see what’s different, after they’ve already pretty much mastered the game and know where

But how do you research and write an article about it without finding out immediately?

I’m glad all of the comments are mentioning Actual Crazy Taxi, since the article for some reason doesn’t at all, even when talking about Ripoff Crazy Taxi’s name change.

I don’t think these are gift cards, though. You’re paying money for a product. A gift card would be like Xbox or PSN marketplace money, or eShop cards.

I agree, it wouldn’t be as big of a disaster as recalling the whole system, but it would certainly be a hassle. I guess if they just shipped a ton of left Joycon to retailers and let everyone come in and exchange freely, it would at least be convenient, but if they make everyone show their receipts and/or make

Wuh-oh. Polygon is reporting sync issues with their left Joycon too, causing a few unnecessary deaths in BOTW.

Hmm. Three retail units, two of which have noticed faulty tracking in the left Joycon. That’s concerning. Hopefully it’s a software issue.

They said that they’re going to start charging for online in the fall, and that your subscription includes access to one VC game every month, so it’ll have to launch by then. They also said that this new iteration of the VC will include online play, which is pretty new and cool.

Want waterfalls and volcanoes? Big Island of Hawaii. All the benefits of being in the US, plus amazing nature.

Okay, getting Fast RMX at launch. At least we’ve got that. Hoping we see the Virtual Console sooner rather than later.

They’re very clearly launching now because Zelda is ready. If it wasn’t, they’d delay. If you don’t want Zelda, don’t buy now. They’ll get their shit together by the holiday season, when most sales will occur.

Players are getting desynchronized? Assassin’s Creed universe CONFIRMED.

Bears’s laughing it off with his opponent was great to see. A lesser competitor might start raging.
