Though I’m not convinced it was deliberate, I won’t argue the taunting call. I think taunting is called too often, but NFL refs throw that flag for less and it’s incumbent on players to act with that in mind. But none of that changes the fact that there also should have been a personal foul on the hit.

If your fourth sentence is in reference to Arrival, that’s a pretty dickish move, spoiler-wise.

Could be interesting. I was a big fan of Mr. Robot’s first season, thought the second was only OK but still fun. I’m torn between thinking this project is right in his wheelhouse and wishing he’d try something more original next.

lol no worries there

As a Knicks fan, my process for consuming this information was to click over to Aldridge’s article, do a search for the terms “amnesty” and “Joakim Noah rule” and then sink into a deep depression after finding neither.

I’m not sure there’s anything that could happen in sports that I would find more unsettling than the Browns being a consistently good team. It would be like if every compass on Earth suddenly began to point southwest. I’m not normally supportive of the narrative that being a loyal fan of Bad Team X demonstrates

Nah, the subtext here is that leaders - even talented, intelligent and competent leaders who have been hugely successful in the past - can and usually will become ineffective if they refuse to evolve and change with the times.

It must be such a bummer for you that the comments on this post are pretty lukewarm, suggesting your premise is faulty. Turns out the people on this site may have actually been preferring Marvel movies to DC movies on their respective merits this whole time.

I know everyone’s nervous that this Spider-Man is getting too much help from Tony Stark, but I kinda like that as a motivating factor for Peter to evolve as a hero: feeling inadequate because Tony is too controlling. The “young” factor reminds me a lot of Kick-Ass (the first film, not the terrible sequel) in the best

I hate myself right now. I need to shower now.

But, will that actually happen? Will Leitch and Reynolds really show restraint when it comes to the visuals and story simply because the first film worked like that? We’ll likely find out sometime in 2018.

Both in terms of talent and cap space, there might not be a team in the league worse off than the Jets right now. Fellow cellar dwellers Cleveland, San Francisco and Jacksonville are at the top of the league in cap space, while the Jets are dead last. Cleveland also has a bounty of draft picks and, along with the

This show is never actually happening, right? I’ve felt this way just about every second since it was announced (to be clear, I am a Trek fan and was genuinely hopeful that it would happen, especially after Fuller was brought aboard).

In fairness to Boomer (a phase I can’t believe I just typed) the allegation that Revis’ ex-agents are giving damaging anonymous quotes about him this season originates with Revis himself, who accused Schwartz and Feinsod of being the source(s) behind a prior report that he was out of shape:

I actually kinda dig this, and it suggests a version of the movie that’s at least “dark” in an interesting way, rather than the oversexed, YA-Novel-teens-in-knockoff-Iron-Man-suits version we’re apparently getting.

I can kind of see this if you only watched up to the first half of season one. But the show REALLY goes out of its way to subvert this in season two, which deals with Kimmy being in denial about how traumatized she is from her bunker experience.

I haven’t been held captive in a bunker so I can’t speak to the niche group who identify with that struggle.

I’m in the same boat: Loved 30 Rock, can’t get on board with Kimmy Schmidt. The comedy is lacking entirely in subtlety and leans heavily on stereotypes. I know the Native American humor has its defenders, but I personally found it borderline Adam Sandler-like and cringe-worthy.

No trouble from me.
