out of sheer jalopism you should refuse to help anyone buy a crossover ever.

Eh, since crossovers get such good mileage these days, you won’t see people scrambling to sell off their vehicles in an economic crisis, like you did in 2008 with everyone and their Hummers and Jeep Commanders. People can just buy small crossovers. Given that most people are driving in heavier traffic these days, the…
I think its a bad idea, but not because of fuel economy. Modern crossovers are getting damn near what their sedan counterparts are.
Toyota is selling over 700,000 Camrys/Corollas this year and evidently making money at it. Ford is abandoning the segments completely; this is insane. I’m a Ford fanboy (see username) but this is an awful, short-sighted decision that they’re going to regret for a long, long time.
They aren’t switching to full sized SUVs. The CUVs don’t carry the mileage penalty that their big brothers do. That said, I think it’s terribly short-sighted too.
This strikes me as a choice that Ford may find regrettable when gas prices climb back up. But I’d assume that Ford has put much more thought into this decision than I have.
I’ll say it. I think this is a terrible idea.
I can’t stand it when people refer to their car by internal chassis code, their engine by its code, and so on.
When people swing out the opposite way to make a turn. You aren’t towing a trailer, and you’re coming into my lane. Fuck off.
People who don’t use the parking brake “because it’s an automatic, and that’s what ‘Park’ is for.” Not only does it annoy the shit out of me, but it annoys the shit out of them when I borrow their car, park it properly, and then they drive 30 miles with the parking brake on.
But you don’t have stupid consumers who will think the car drives itself up until the car crashes into a brick wall or a white truck.
Yeah, definitely grasping at straws here. They have to hit their daily Tesla article quota somehow.
No it didn’t.
While I understand and empathize with your sadness, I don’t think I’d go quite as far as to say that everything is bad. I have compiled a short list of things that are good:
East coast liberals shitting on them, and then blaming them for the mess?
