I hadn't been to VW's site in several months when I visited it last week, only to find what a horrible mess they've made of it. Whomever designed the site needs to be out on the street, fast. I agree that Ford's site is worlds better... heck, about every other manufacturer's site is better. VW, what were you

Poop brown? On a Corvette? Really? For that alone, CP.

Ugh. No, that only makes an already questionable thing worse. Shooting brakes are fugly as sin.

The front end kills it for me. The render from XTomi Design was a heckuva lot better-looking:

Everyone is pointing it out, so will I: the sketch was it. Bummer.

OK. $950 is basic, 'gets me around' territory where cars are concerned. Cars in that price range are supposed to start and run well enough that you can use it as a secondary vehicle to your wife's much nicer, much newer car. For that purpose, I say NP here given how interesting the machine in question is.

It'll be known as the 'fishface' Miata for sure!

Too much Toyobaru going here for my taste. Then again, I love the Miata NC's smile, so I suspect my opinion is in the minority.

This poor guy was so excited to bring his 325i to the Nurburgring only to learn that he can't control a rear wheel drive car in the rain. On the first corner. Oh well, at least he set a new record!

There's a reason why SUVs and crossovers with a high center of gravity don't belong on track. Allow this CR-V driver at the Nurburgring to show that reason.

It sounds like the rules need to be changed to allow for the storage of aircraft & support equipment only, plus have more hangars built.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED, I tell you, that a 21-year-old car has problems.

Looks pretty sweet to me. With the seller's documentation and obvious dedication to the project (website detailing the project!), I think it's worth at least $7500. NP.

It's been established that $2K is the floor for a decent driver, and this thing is in great shape. No, it isn't a Miata, but for $1900 it's close enough.

I'm horrified that I hadn't heard of the BAC Mono until this post. Now I have to flog myself as punishment while I lust after the thing.

Old, runs, somewhat exotic-looking, and unique for $2200? NP. It'd be fun to take to community car shows just for the conversations you'd have with everyone asking what it was. Also, it strikes me that swapping in a hotter VW engine is a decent possibility.

Fail for the white bread.

For the takeoff and landing with the safety rails mere feet from the wingtips, I'll go ahead and speculate that the pilot has balls of adamantium.

I came in to post the same thing, except for the missing image.
