I have a worrying suspicion that this show isn’t going to have a satisfying conclusion. Mostly because this show has gone so far off the rails from where it started that I don’t know what an ending looks like for this show.

I know, I can almost deal with the stuff with Midge’s family, but why, WHY does the show keep insisting we care about douchey fuckboi Joel? HE SUCKS.

ASP tends to become convinced that certain characters are way more interesting than anyone else thinks. See also Christopher on Gilmore Girls. That and her worship of the wealthy (preferably old money) is as enduring as her snappy dialogue.

Now playing

As a long time Todd in the Shadows fan, I feel this should get some love:

I love the show, but the ridiculous arguing was more than annoying and goes on longer than it should. I get that they’re Jews and they argue a lot, but tone it the fuck down. I could’ve done without the ferris wheel scene.

I believe it was a brisket.

Midge begins to slowly embrace being herself, rather than trying to please other people.

How ‘bout ‘dem O’s, hon?

I’ll go so far as to say I mildly care who wins even, but as you say, why would I watch it live, especially when I have a backlog of hundreds of TV shows and movies across multiple streaming services, not to mention books, video games, or activities that involve leaving the house. The Oscars are doomed, there’s just

“Before we invest serious capital, Ms Holmes, we’d really like to see the goods.”

I could not agree with both of you more. Losing an implied realistic point of view is a big problem for me. Of course every once in a while, directors would do unusual shots. But typically they had a lot of thought behind why that particular shot made sense. Now it feels very overdone to me in many action movies, and

From the article linked in the tweet:

My interest in this moon film is waning.

[mournfully] Booger...

One of the tragic byproducts of this asshole finally being taken to task for his behavior is that a whole cast and crew have been robbed of potential royalties from one of the most successful and syndicated sitcoms from the 80s. He should have to compensate them.

wow I have felt that. However the Traveling Symphony actually reminded me of two existing communities. 1. Rennies, who travel from Ren Faire to Ren fire year round and live in tent cities of under 200 ppl behind the the fences and 2. Queer leftwing-anarchists, particularly 3 communities in West Philly, Austin and a

Agreed that almost everything in the present has felt forced and largely unearned.

It’s still a scandal, since you’re supposed to vet for this kind of stuff before you give a pair of grifters a national platform to promote themselves, not after. I mean, the importance of finding reliable contractors with good reputations is a major theme of the DIY TV genre. Good on Magnolia for taking action on

Clearly the Magnolia people failed to do proper due diligence. The fact that they allowed these worthless grifters on TV to begin with does not say much for their company.
