Was that club historically accurate? I found it amazing that a Gay Black Men’s club of that size and ostentatious quality could even exist back then. Wouldn’t the cops and local government people rousted it out of existence or burned it down? That place was huge and swank. It wasn’t some discrete backdoor dive.
