“Rage Boner”....  sounds like a great porn name.

Biggest anticlimax?  You never met my wife.

Umbrella Academy is a high-production collection of scenes. It has decent to great acting throughout, but the writing is terrible. You can go at this show worrying about plot, plot holes, plot armor, plot anything. The writers sure don’t. It’s like snack food - nice the moment you are chewing it, but it leaves you

Aidan Gallagher deserves an Emmy. You would think he was some childlike 35 yr old in makeup and CGI nailing this role - but he’s a legit kid. Just an amazing performance among such a big and experienced cast.  He’s done far more than just hold his own.

I didn’t know her, but I’m glad I sat and watched this.  Seems like an awesome person and great talent.

That is indeed true, but I was just making a reference to Burger being gay and desiring to see a jury box full of men with big penises.  I will have to repeat this joke next season.

Women were allowed to be jurors when men realized how shitty juror duty actually was.

I believe Hamilton Burger paid the bribe in the hopes of seeing a hung jury.

Wow, what a comeback for HBO with this series. Albeit starting a bit slow and a little confusing since we all know Mason as a lawyer, they have crafted an amazing show out of this. The story has built using classic storytelling devices - not the ineffective gimmicks of so many recent big-budget series. That’s because

Great series, but does anyone else think the credit production seems a total mismatch to the show?  It just seems cheap and oddly contemporary without being cleverly so.

No because Berger helped him prepare (an open secret that the exam source material hadn’t changed) setting up a MAD scenario. It’s not even technically cheating anyway.

I’ve seen people dig in their heels, but you set yours in cement. Ok I mean, concrete, because technically cement is the bonding agent that holds the concrete together...

You can represent yourself if you want.  He’s not the Prosecutor.

Pete is doomed. It sets up Drake.  Kind of sucks. I like both characters.

He was caught up in the ruin of the Depression, whose effects were still being felt in 1932. He dipped in to escrow funds, lost business, generally aged out of the business as the Depression wiped out his liquidity.  Kind of like 2008 for a lot of folks....

Amazing that with the demise of Lithgow’s character there is barely an American actor remaining in the cast of a quintessential American noir subject. Their ability to shed accents so well is amazing to me.

Saxon’s voice was higher than I recall hearing as a kid. Maybe that held him back a bit from leading man status. Kind of surprising to me when he was talking in some of these clips even though I grew up seeing him in stuff all the time. And I’m surprised he wasn’t older too.

70's TV was seriously lacking in editing effort. 1) Obvious stuntman 2) Saxon just HAPPENED to trip and fall after picking up the rifle. Why would Kane let him grab it so easily?

Well “Asian Volvo” isn’t a thing, so....

Cops were told to be on the lookout for a White Vulva.
