He also said he liked Republicans of the Goldwater and Reagan ilk, "mean old men to watch my money." He never really had a specific program or convictions, just opinions.

I meant your post. It should be satire, but you clearly are serious. That's sad.

It's actually quite anti-partisan, and people don't appreciate how radical a position that is.

Looks like some people need some member berries!

No, you wouldn't. Elections aren't binary, and you don't have to vote. Skipping the whole thing would leave you at 0, which is greater than -1.

That was the opposite of "waking up," and Maher never was a libertarian, anyway. He was a pot smoker who wasn't a total left-winger economically. That does not a libertarian make.

Is this satire, or do you honestly misunderstand this show that deeply?

They do argue "both sides are idiots" but they never have argued "no one is right."

Pretty accurate, though, silly Internet tough guy language aside.

I think that was just a taster to get people excited.

Doesn't follow logically. The contrapositive of a true statement is not necessarily true. You're falling victim to fallacious thinking here. You're essentially saying, "-1 is greater than -3, therefore -1 is positive."

South Park is funnier than either of those programs, though, and more insightful than the Daily show usually was.

Is that a reactionary sentiment, though? It seems pretty accurate, especially in the current climate. And the show does take some bold positions.

Blade 2 is my favorite one.

Searching for Bobby Fischer is excellent.

I'd take Before the Devil Knows You're Dead over 12 Angry Men, too.

I Love You, Man is amazing.

1995 was a very good Hollywood year. Toy Story, Seven, The Usual suspects all better than Babe.

Grandma's Boy is funny.

Overnight! Loved that. Great poll question. Bigger douchebag '90s pseudo-wunderkind auteur: Troy Duffy or Rob Weiss?
