At this point, Bethesda’s just trying to see what they can get away with. Gotta nail that bullshit monetization strategy before Elder Scrolls 6.

Fong expected more regulation as video games continues to grow in status, but it was important for developers to work with government along the way.
Hateful conduct is any content or activity that promotes, encourages, or facilitates discrimination, denigration, objectification, harassment, or violence based on the following characteristics, and is strictly prohibited:
So this is like predictive text on your smartphone keyboard, just in real time for gameplay.
Wild, huh? The crazy thing is that seems like it might actually be getting to someone at Blizzard. For the first time since this all started, someone gave an actual statement. https://www.engadget.com/2019/10/09/blizzard-hong-kong-ban-blitzchung-china-mei-protest-2019/
“Worms of Garfield: Shadows of Championship” sounds like some kind of multiplayer veterinary medicine game.
“Time and place” has been on repeat to try and shut down every protest, ever.
I don’t begrudge people who decide to try direct action. I cancelled my Hearthstone game with my sister tonight, just hoping Blizzard will wake up and do the right thing. But I’m afraid it’ll all be for nothing, and that’ll be one fewer of the (increasingly diminishing) big publishers I can stand to do business with.
I keep seeing “vote with your wallet,” but they originally pulled this because they’re terrified of losing China as a customer base. With a billion people and a huge and growing crop of gamers, what’s stopping Activision-Blizzard from simply ignoring the percentage of people elsewhere who’ll stop playing on ethical…
This humble little guy has been my go-to for a couple of years. Recharges straight from a US wall outlet, built-in plugs for Lightning, MicroUSB, and USB-C. Amazingly handy. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B8J6N2L/

At this point I don’t think you can point to any one action or policy and say “this is Activision” or “this is Blizzard.” The companies are so integrated and their behavior so similar that it’s all the same beast.
It’s possible to be both socialist and fascist at the same time. The fact that you have a problem with the former and not the latter is pretty damning.
But that’s not how the...
Does this game have a thin blue line/American flag/Punisher tattoo?
Better. Selling tiny little pieces of your game for a dollar or two isn’t great, but it’s better than selling cranks on a slot machine with a 1/2500 chance of getting the thing you actually want.
I’ve tried the Mamba a couple of times, and both times been disappointed by its wireless reliability and build quality. The G603 wireless from Logitech has all the same features minus the lighting, but plus optional Bluetooth, and lasts freakin’ forever on AA batteries. And it’s much cheaper, even on sale. https://www.…

I didn’t try to use it simultaneously. The DRM would say I was playing on my idle Switch about half the time, even when I closed the relevant game manually, and it refused to play any downloaded game without a Wi-Fi connection.
The real question is, would you trade all of this admittedly awesome fan gear for an HD remaster? And also, would you pay for one, several times over, including high backer tiers on a sketchy Kickstarter campaign? Would you make a pilgrimage to SEGA headquarters to physically assault each and every executive until…
I gave this a shot when the Switch Lite came out, expecting Steam-like account syncing and game access. Nope, it seems that, like online stores or in-game chat, Nintendo has decided this is another feature that it’s going to lag behind by a decade or so. I love the Switch Lite hardware, but with this weird…
The original Switch is pretty easy to mess with, all you need is that weird tri-head screwdriver Nintendo uses. Pick up a cheap replacement battery and you’ll be good as new in about 20 minutes.
