"Why do you doubt your senses?''
That doesn't look very scary. More like a six-foot turkey.
"Help! I've been shot! And I need a tampon!"
I've seen a more obvious (and more, ahem, appropriate) example of this in real life. When my sister and I are arguing I periodically switch into "dad voice," a pretty spot-on imitation of the deep, booming voice our father used when he was chewing us out as kids. I can see an immediate reaction - it's like slapping…
The built-in tools for Nvidia and ATI/AMD graphics cards are pretty good for matching color and brightness, even if the results aren't ideally accurate. Failing that, you can put up an old-fashioned test pattern (or something like [displaycalibration.com] and fiddle with the manual display controls. You probably can't…
That chick brought a flash drive to a gun fight. "Damn! Reached for the wrong garter again!"
I can't believe a modern company like Gawker still requires people to work on-site, especially for (basically) free. What, is there late-breaking time management news that requires a physical presence in the hellhole that is LA? Are Lifehacker's editors so busy they can't spare two minutes to get their own coffee?
That's got it, thanks. For anybody else trying this, click the "settings" button next to this to keep your cookies/logins active.
I don't think so. I'm no expert, but I think you're talking about a Windows 7 behavior that's not really customizable to FF. Maybe there's a little tweak program somewhere?
In the Tools>Options menu, click "Tabs." Un-check the option labelled "Show tab previews in the Windows taskbar".
I've never been a fan of that particular feature (I'm an old-fashioned homepage user) so that solution hadn't occurred to me.
Has anybody figured out a way to make those nifty new (as of 4.0 anyway) App Tabs load automatically at start up? I've been using App Tab Initializer ( [addons.mozilla.org] ), which technically works, but duplicates the app tabs each time I start FF, so my three pinned tabs become six.
LSU used this for their pre-game football video last year. It's such a wonderful piece, who could blame them?
Engadget has a review of the Lenovo X1 on their site today. Gizmodo has a throwaway quote from Stephen Hawking... oh, and some fake pot brownies. Guess I'll stick to Lifehacker and io9.
You win or you die. Usually in a shocking and untimely reveal.
I'm not normally an anime fan, but I have to cast a vote for Gene Starwind's Caster pistol from Outlaw Star.
UltraMon is a must-have for serious multiple-monitor users. I've tried all the free alternatives, and nothing comes close.
Considering Clinton's political ideology, I wouldn't trust her to know which end of the shotgun goes "bang".
Aw, poor widdle 750 million dollar newspaper. Maybe, just maybe, you should get off your high horse and use a business model that makes sense for the 21st century.
