@EnigmaticChemist: Blackberry is still the best-selling smartphone platform in the US, and that it beats out both iWhatever and Android worldwide. They've lost ground, sure, but they're definitely still on top.

@mostlysane: Mmmmmm, sweet, sexy justice.
@derilium: Yeah, I tried that. They won't hang on to uploaded attachments (which I need to send out resumes). I ended up just using the GoDaddy webmail client that I was patching through gmail.
Are they finally going to add templates? Because that's what I've been waiting for, Google. (I know you're reading this.)
I prefer a Disney Villain maniacal laugh. For any hand.
@R3gal: Yes, I actually use ADW on my Nexus right now. I was just curious to see if Motorola had kept the stock launcher - according to miquonranger03, they've gutted it.
@iceph03nix: Ditto. I'd feel bad for the lost advertising revenue, but then crappy sites host crappy ads. They created the awful internet environment of today.
Anyone know if this will work with the Droid X's "ninjaBlur"? mine's coming next week, and I definitely prefer the vanilla launcher.
This is a great trick for large files. It also works with regular 'old torrents on multiple computers (transfer the incomplete files from one to the other, then use the same .torrent file).
@drukus: Because everybody dies, ya know.
@MisterStegs: I got the one in that link on eBay for $70. It retails for about twice that. There's good deals to be had if you're looking.
Hands-down, a quality pocketknife.
@pixelsnader: Again, that's just a visual style (aka theme). You've changed up the colors and graphics, but you haven't removed the essential elements of the W7 UI that come from the shell. It's the difference between putting a shiny cover on your phone and re-wiring it to rearrange the buttons.
@NeoXY: A mouse is more accurate by an order of magnitude. The difference is nothing less than that between the width of a laser beam and the width of your fingertip. While a touchpad may be more intuitive than a mouse, try working in a graphics program for 8+ hours a day with one. Or better yet, don't.
Bah, humbug. Give me a real mouse (with real buttons, Apple), says this graphic designer.
@G3mpi3: I also run a custom visual style and I move my taskbar, just for aesthetic reasons. But a shell replacement goes a lot deeper than colors or buttons: it's a complete overhaul of the user interface. It's almost like switching operating systems while keeping all of your installed programs.
I don't understand why some people insist on replacing the Windows shell, especially if they're using 7. The W7 setup is hands-down the slickest and most usable ui/windowing system in a modern OS (even if it is a bit heavy). More power to you if you prefer to tweak that much, but nothing I've tried beats a stock…
@Bennett Blodinger: No, the language just says that they can't prosecute you for trying to unlock it yourself. They can, however, make modification hard as hell, a la the Droid X debacle.
Congratulations, Citizen! You have been awarded +1 freedoms.
