I actually like it. I was planning (and saving!) To get a Series X on launch date but will settle for this one. I don’t really care about 4k and 300 bucks is a very attractive entry point for a next gen system.

Yeah, I still have and use daily my V1, launch day PS4. It still works like a charm, has given my family zero issues, and has never been anything close to a "monstrosity", let alone a problem of any sort. Cool take tho.

I am the thing you describe but I will still get it day one. This generation isn’t like other generations. If I buy it day one and it enhances the performance of my existing library, that’s fine with me until the more games roll out.
