Like Mirror’s Edge meets Doom it looks like. Neat. I like that more fiction pieces are exploring characters who have either lost a limb or been born differently abled. Though I can’t help but think there have got to be ways to reload one-handed, maybe using some kind of ammo clip holster thing a la Gungrave.

“You know what you do? You go buy yourself a tape recorder and record yourself for a whole day.”

Well, the frenzy makes sense from a different angle: It’s been a year of pandemic-related lockdown and closures, leaving people with more time inside and possibly more money saved up and with far fewer indulges / ways to show status. Whereas before people might have traveled, went to a big music festival, saw huge

Similar experience and I still can’t manage to offload my unwanted copy of NBA2k21. I’m glad I grabbed it the console while I could, but I also find myself scrounging through the PS5 games library in an attempt to make me feel like there’s something to play and to take advantage of the graphics.

All of the console ordering hijinx this generation reminded me of trying to get certain Ghostbusters or TMNT toys as a kid, when you basically had to know someone who worked at a store to find the really rare ones. Total insanity for a piece of plastic.

Count me in that group. I had no idea what to expect from the haptic features and was thoroughly impressed. Realistically, I could probably do without the nuanced force-feedback (we’ll see) but after Astro’s I really missed the way to used resistance in the triggers. It was just plain fun to use, like an arcade

And the skiff they use to haul it away? The Fallen Fallen Fallen Skiff Skiff.

“I’m getting too old for this skiff!”

I came here for the dialogue, and I stayed for the time travelling alternate reality Joe Pantoliano.

Out of curiosity, what would’ve you had them do instead? Provide a free video upload/sharing service? Charge people based on storage they use for their uploaded videos? A subscription/freemium -style model?

Agreed, but blame the people clicking, I guess. Evidently everyone makes their thumbnails like that because they’re wildly successful.

I’d be curious to know the real numbers there. 1% weekly conversion rate to paid seems super high in an environment like this, where the entertainment provided is generally raw and unedited.

Thanks for that, it’s helpful. Sounds like unless there is some massive twist or shift in tone to make things more narratively interesting, it’s not for me.

Can you elaborate on the tone? I am not a Romance fan in the least, and if Marquette’s energy is Romance/flowery/twee, I’d rather know up front and avoid the game or wait for it on the cheap. From the trailer and screenshots it sort of has a Witness-type vibe to it in that mysterious/empty/serene way but not sure if

Maquette is a metaphorical, recursive puzzle game about a relationship. You exist in a world with multiple planes, where there’s a diorama—or maquette—of the space you’re in, which itself is nestled in a larger carbon-copy of the same exact space, suggesting that you’re inside a diorama yourself. Place an object in

I’m impressed the text is edited from “she” to “he”. If you did this, bravo.

Mistwalker has made umber of really good JRPGs in the past

Even to this day, I find myself thinking back to the turtle-like boss of Shadow of the Colossus (Basaran, the 9th colossus). Great music, fun use of Agro, and just such an epic feel without being end game material. Apparently comments on YouTube indicate people hate this boss and I haven’t played it in 15 years so

Maybe a dumb question: Will the “Best of” PS4 games available for PS5 Plus subscribers remain available?
