Oof. Not surprising. I just can’t see an area as hardware AND development -heavy as VR working out for any console maker, though it also seems hard to imagine a console maker forming partnerships with VR hardware producers that have the scale/R&D necessary to make their devices appealing to users.

TVshow that’s also wholly unoriginal and nothing more than a mish mash of other, much better things cobbled together

I was about to say: Canon event? Is this the Spider-Verse?

#tmw you watch a golden piece of art be exhumed for... Overwatch skins. Sigh.

Seriously. I watched the clip and thought, “Huh, Seth seems pretty chill and clearly enjoys making himself laugh. I’d get a drink with that guy” (though no idea if he’s sober now). That style of humor is a hell of a lot better than the performative, meme monkey TikTok crap that is the same schtick repeated a billion

Fromsoft games have some of the most gorgeous, gripping dark fantasy worlds out there and it’s why I keep buying them even though I absolutely abhor the boss gating philosophy of them. I don’t mind being a cautious explorer and minding how I go about dealing with enemies, but every single game always comes down to a

I haven’t seen the show or read the books, but Harewood feels better cast as a deity with some mischief to him, like a Hades. That’s one thing that I don’t think Reddick ever focused on, injecting a kind of “What side is he playing?” amused energy that *really* came through for Harewood’s Mr. Door. Just as I don’t

I’ve felt the same and have been crowing about the performance to everyone who will listen, which online has often been met with a “It was supposed to be Lance Reddick!!!” type response. I love Lance and miss him, but I think David Harewood is going to get scooped up for a streaming show after AW2. If there were a

So 5 years between GTA IV and GTA V and now 12 years between GTA V and GTA VI. So I guess GTA VII will be out 2044?

We truly live in the dumbest timeline.

Even when looking for an indulgent purchase, I couldn’t get myself to pick one up (and they certainly were available on 11/15). Not sure what resellers were thinking, but it’d be nice if any industry (gaming, restaurants, music venues) gave a damn about the insane arbitrage that goes on these days.

I didn’t read the article but even the post and headline is enough to basically be like: “Hey keep an eye out for this thing that happens in the game!” It’s something Kotaku does all the time and it’s pretty obnoxious.

Could you not spoil the game by talking about later parts of it when it’s barely been out for two and a half weeks? Some of us have jobs and family obligations and can’t tear through a game the second it comes out.

Did you even read his comment? He literally references the article.

Clearly whoever is behind those channels is really good at algo hacking and I’m sure they do get a bunch of sensational views, given the graphic nature of the content, it is really mystifying how YouTube hasn’t done more to make that stuff less discoverable. I doubt it can be making YouTube that much money, so it must

I don’t think it’s AI, but I report those disgusting animation videos that depict graphic bodily procedures every time I see them and despite blocking the channels that deliver that content, I still see that crap when I’m browsing YT (and for ASMR content, at that). Amazing how YT can identify swears and music clips

DINO DNA!

And since we have our 1st kid on the way, this thing will be perfect when hanging in the nursery.

Sure, and I mainly do, except for the Max app which runs far better on my PS5 than on my TV. Though Sony may not want to push a media hub on the PS5 if they also want to release devices like this that specifically block its use; sounds like a case of muddled strategy.

Yeah, this is what confuses me as well. It’s basically solving the problem that your TV is in use by some other platform or app, which is weird because it’s almost like Sony going: “Hey, we know we won’t be the most important thing used on your TV, so why don’t you spend even more money to keep using our product?”
