I played Fallen Order, and even I don’t remember any of the controls or what he could do.

Geez even from that still frame you can see how much better kissing looks in video games these days.

Couldn’t agree more with Skyward Sword sitting at the bottom. I honestly don’t even care about the motion controls, which generally worked fine for me. I just didn’t like the extremely repetitive nature of the game (going back to the same areas over and over), and being told over and over when I picked up an object

Even if the execution isn’t entirely successful hopefully it can inspire other developers to think of new ways to handle strategy games in this period. (Or they can further develop/polish the ideas here)

perf response :)

It’s not really changing animation though, it’s just a different style/technique. It’s basically a more automated, different style of rotoscoping.

Great article!

Yeah I basically feel that all of the discourse surrounding this is very unhelpful. Making people aware of Rowling’s views and actions, why you feel they are harmful, and why you won’t be purchasing Harry Potter products moving forward is great. Then people can hear the arguments and figure out how they want to move

Uh I was. My name is Everyone. Everyone Simm. And sometimes everyone speaks in third person.

I think Quan and Fraser are the two wins everyone is really hoping to see.

In preparation to play Total War Three Kingdoms, I watched the 2011 tv show to learn about the story and people involved and fell in love with it. Nioh with Cao Cao sounds incredible.

Oh great point about it simplifying different regional pricing (or different tax rates), I hadn’t considered that.

Alternate currencies in games need to be illegal. There is literally no benefit, it exists only to manipulate people and confuse how much your spending.

Right. That was what I meant by-

Exactly. Unfortunately if they want the release schedule they have, they definitely can’t keep the same scale and fill it with meaningful content, so scaling the world and game length back might give them the resources to avoid everything feeling like busy work.

Yeah I didn’t think that through, I was just reacting to the sometimes drastic price differences between the same games on steam and the nintendo store. But of course people would be buying it on the Switch cause it’s all they have to play on.

Ah yeah I didn’t really think that one through huh.. Good point!

I can’t believe people are paying $70 for Skyrim on the Switch... especially with the Steam Deck around.

“Neil Druckmann once pitched The Last of Us’ premise to George Romero (Night of the Living Dead) as part of a college assignment in 2004; the acclaimed director “didn’t like it,” and chose another student’s idea instead”

What’s depressing is if the world continues on its current trajectory, there will be articles like this except the slides will be things like - bell peppers, pork, strawberries, coconuts, etc.

On the flipside by that time the McRib will have made its wonderful (5th) comeback!
