That’s especially annoying; cutting out funny scenes. Many of the scenes I noticed gone in shows were small little lines, maybe 2-3 seconds and nothing too funny, but other times they were quality bits.

Seems to be the way they (cable companies) do things. With Suddenlink, there was zero mention beforehand that I would be losing channels. Nothing on the bill about it and they themselves said I would be good. Then they changed their system (something about signal encryption) and lost 90% of the channels.
With the streaming service or just simply DirecTV? When I was initially looking at companies to switch to, DirecTV as a cable provider did have a price increase after X amount of months ($50 for 12 months then $90 for the remaining 12 months). I haven’t seen anything about random price increases for DirecTV Now (the…
I suppose that’s understandable.
I really don’t mind the muted/fast forwarded credits. The thing that annoys me is that along with doing that and having the shows slightly sped up, they also cut out parts of the shows. I would notice it often on FXX with Raising Hope and TBS with Friends.
I’m on Suddenlink. To get “Expanded” cable (channels like A&E, Bravo, ESPN, USA, HGTV, History, TBS, etc.) it would cost close to $80 more a month. To get the “Basic” channels that you can pick up with an antenna they charge something like $20.
First heard this guy a few weeks ago and instantly enjoyed him. He has a number of songs worth listening to but these two are my favorite. The first is a slower one and a bit depressing, while the second is more upbeat and fit for a Friday night.
Congrats on the offer! Yea recently whenever I’ve remembered to come on over it’s at least 9pm here, the post is 4+ hours old and is filled with comments. Today I got it posted and then went out and did all the cleaning outside I was needing to do.
I usually get reminded by whenever the sun goes down, but now it stays light until 9 or so and then look for this page and it’s already like 4-5 hours old.
Looks like I actually made it here in time today.
Can’t stop being late to these things. Better late than never I suppose though. Pretty sure I’ve posted this band before but I believe the song is a different one.
So good news; I finally finished my new computer build. I was stuck on some crappy old hardware so it was a real chore to get here and post new stuff as not only did it make it more difficult to actually go through new stuff online but loading this site/comments/videos took a while. Hopefully this is what finally gets…
Barely making it tonight. Suddenlink made changes to their system, causing me to lose a lot of channels and it would be $90 more a month to get them back. Cut to me looking at every other possible service and finally landing on picking up a Roku Stick and getting DirecTV Now, where I’ll save over $1,000 a year.
I feel that way about a number of the songs I come across. Even on Spotify the song is at less than 1k (only one of her songs has enough plays to show the exact amount; Sometimes Romance with 4,955). Deserves to be so much higher.
Appreciate it. Don’t know why but I just find it really hard to get back here, usually by the time I realize what time it is it’s after 10pm. Though I suppose the upside is that I have a backlog of songs I can go through and post.
Hey everyone, it’s been a while. So here’s something about me; I love songs that have a sad/depressing sound to them. Shane Smith & the Saints have many top-notch songs and I’m sure I’ve posted them, but here are two that I’ve really been digging lately.
Looks like I’ve been striking out lately. Here’s some chill music. Maybe that’ll do it.
I guess my last selection of music bummed people out, so how about something different.
Hey all, been trying to make it here but still have been stuck in a ‘drifting through the days’ kind of mood. I had a song lined up for St. Paddy’s day, was looking to mix it up with an Irish singer instead of a typical Irish bar/drinking song. So, here is Mick Flannery from Blarney.
I guess it’s time to get back to Texas bands.
