No problem. Completely missed the Stars being in the playoffs. At least they won, my other two teams haven’t fared so well (Kings and Hawks). Fell asleep early sometime in the 2nd period of the Islanders/Panthers game last night.

Found this site which has some good pictures from across the state. According to that site the area around San Antonio (which I was near my destination) wasn’t that great as of the end of March, so I can only wonder how much of the area I drove through will look in the upcoming weeks.
I can’t speak from experience, but there are “tour maps” out there for the best places to view them. Ennis is the “official” one, usually suggested to go the 2nd or 3rd week of April.
I guess they’re shooting a rope from one boat to another? That seems like a pretty unique job... roping in icebergs.
That would be crazy to just kind of look out across the water and see an iceberg floating by. Gotta love how amazing sights to one person would be a pretty common one to others. I’d love to see a flipped-over iceberg in person (the old ones that are blue). I don’t expect to every find myself somewhere that cold, but…
Yup! Has been for a bit, though some places are just blooming (mostly transitioning from West Texas to Hill Country area I got yellow Indian Paintbrush’s instead of red/orange/pink/purple). If you stopped at every place you saw that looked like it was worth taking a picture you’d never leave the state.
It was a nice moment when I hit that age where I just didn’t care anymore what others heard me listening to. I can think of a lot of artists I love but my younger self would have avoided listening to them. People like Slaid Cleaves and Jason Isbell come to mind and they are two I listen to a lot.
Honestly, I feel their first three “major” albums were perfect. Lucero, Tennessee and That Much Further West. After those three the albums are still good but every song from those I love (well... there might be one or two songs I could do without)
I remember being younger and thinking that I’d never want to listen to bands/music like them. Here I am years later and I’ll happily play in the car with the windows rolled down.
Horrible April Fool’s tricks maybe?
Well, now I’m gonna have to jam to this one.
Underrated, but one of my favorite Lucero songs. Would have loved if they had done a version for either Ardent Sessions or Attic Tapes.
Basically, I’ve been obsessed with Chamomile and Whiskey. I can’t think of a band I’ve enjoyed this much in a while... I’ve played their album in Spotify probably 10 times just in the past 24 hours.
We doing songs about nights?
That sucks. In my current city, the lines are so far out of the way that I’ve never even seen the train. In my hometown, there’s a main road on the north and south sides of the track and if you’re needing to go from one side to the other, you’re only delayed by about 1-2 minutes. You almost always have an close option…
I can see a resemblance there. Here’s something from The Bitterroot Band. From Minnesota like Trampled By Turtles and is also a pretty good chill song.
Some chill music for a lazy Saturday. Not even 7 and I could easily fall asleep.
