I was fairly disappointed with this one, even as a grown-ass adult. The soundtrack seemed incredibly overloaded (the first movie had a pretty decent soundtrack, and I think their response was to try to cram as many songs as possible into this one). And the stakes just... weren’t there. I did go ahead and read the

Yeah, it’s too bad. Because previous Three Eyed Raven was not portrayed as a creepy, dead-eyed drone, and while I know they are still different characters, I couldn’t understand why becoming TER should lead to such an unpleasant characterization change.

Serious question: if they’d kept things as slow and methodical as previous seasons, how many more seasons would it take to finish the story?

Like a lot of people, there were things about this season that disappointed me. But now- it’s over. I’m more or less happy with how the Starks wrapped things up, even if King Bran was just... no. But Sansa deserves to be Queen in the North, Arya is doing Arya stuff, and Jon - well, frankly, I think it’s a pretty

(Needle scratch) and that, kids, is how I invented representative democracy.

TRue, credit where credit is due.

For your first point - technically true, but Jon revealing the truth about his parentage has been one of the biggest concerns occupying her mind this season, so it definitely means something to her.

The only explanation I feel like I can come up with is that after the (jarringly easy) defeat of Cersei’s armies, there wasn’t anything standing between Dany and the the throne EXCEPT for Jon who she must believe will inevitably be crowned king by people who would prefer a local boy. So rather than taking her crew

Well, there’s a lot about this episode that had me throw my hands up in frustration.

Yeah, it was painful but felt real. Brienne is for sure a BAMF in combat but she has some pretty obvious emotional walls up, which is why she gets all spluttery and embarrassed anytime something personal comes up. So for her to finally get her moment with Jaime only to have him spin his tires as soon as he remembers

I recall hearing that GRRM apparently spilled the beans on how he plans for the series to end in case he kicked the bucket before they finished. I’m not sure if that’s true, and if that means they would come to the same main conclusions but get there in different ways (which seems inevitable since there are so many

The look on jon’s face was like “oh god, here we go again.” I appreciate Sam but going out onto the battlefield was probably a top 10 dumb Westerosi idea. He was somehow more useless in battle than daenerys, and she was pretty damn useless once the dragon dropped her off at the pool.

Honestly the more I think about it the less it bothers me. I saw a post on reddit that basically said the NK could not be defeated by an attack he could see coming - turns out dragonfire doesn’t work against him, and Jon huffing and puffing behind him was pretty clearly futile. Arya, on the other hand, is a deadly

After a point it became very clear that unless someone took down the NK there was no way the last three episodes would consist of anything besides Cersei high fiving The Mountain and getting Wight-girl Wasted unless some serious deus ex machina shit went down (I’m not savvy enough to say whether or not Arya counts as

Also, I’m getting too old for these night battles. Every time something got set on fire I was like THANK GOD, I can see what the hell is going on.

I’m feeling pretty conflicted. Am I happy my girl was the one to do it? OF COURSE. but i definitely didn’t think it would happen in this episode, and I’m feeling a little iffy about spending the last half of the season dealing with Cersei sans White Walkers. Personally I found the Night King plot to be a lot more

I was honestly like “OH AS IF” after they spent so much of the last ten to fifteen minutes of the episode showing Brienne, Sam, Jaime etc on the precipice of being drowned in wights but they still lived. But it’s not like I wanted them to die, so I’ll live with it.

Honestly, I think he looks great. A lot of his pirate get-up gives me full douchechills but that photo is enough to make me think “would” again.

... but is it coming to Canada? (Looking at you, Hulu)

I love rogue one. Not being a bit Star Wars fan, maybe my opinion doesn’t hold too much weight, but i think it’s very rewatchable and the cast was terrific.
