My parents are. I have an ‘08 Grand Prix GXP about 12 years ago that broke me of GM and haven’t been back since.

Cold starts used to be the worst! My dad used to have a contact to do snow removal in my hometown of 2000 people in the mid 1990's. He had a 86 GMC 3/4 ton 4x4, a 95 GMC 3/4 ton 6.5l diesel, and always ended up taking my mom’s 88 Celebrity to town in -30F, as the old Iron Duke was the only thing on the farmstead that…
I think that the expectations of longer term reliability is near the top of this list. I look at the list of items that we expect to service during the life of the car in the 1980's that we no longer look at.
Hahaha.... Right!!!!
Missouri closed this loophole a few years ago. SB5 states:
We had one as an EcoSport Titanium rental in Vermont back in October. It was the absolute worst rental ever. Granted.... all rentals that week were over $1000, so to find one for less then $500 was an easy decision. I have to consider the EcoSport to be 1/2 of a vehicle as compared to anything else available! :)
Beat me to it. Ford sold 166,245 Fusions in 2019, AFTER they announced they were going to be killing it in 2020.
I think that Breaking Bad has some of the best! All of the cars seem to match their characters!
I test drove one of these C4 ZR-1's in the late 1990's. A dealer in rural Nebraska had one for sale with 160,000+ miles. The story was that the previous owner had bought it new, and had drove it to Colorado once a month. During the test drive, with the sales rep present, I took her up to 125 mph and held it for about…
During cash for clunkers, 100k Explorer Sports were $2500 on the very high end. I’m not buying into the fact that the Mazda badge adds any value, it’s still just an Explorer (or Mountaineer).
I disagree with you on the 2.0l Ecoboost being proven and reliable. Look up technical service 19-2208. My 2017 Fusion AWD required a new long block engine replacement at 53,000 miles. When my dealership told me the news, they took me out to the parking lot to show me 4 other 2.0l turbo’s needing replacement. I also…
I owned the predecessor to the LSS, which was the Olds Ninety Eight Touring Sedan. (Mine was a 1993) Unique badging of the car, 16" alloys, and the 3.8l Supercharger. The car was stock outside of changing the supercharger pulleys and adding a remote air cleaner. It was fun to come up at lights, and give cars a run…
How are you supposed (or GM) supposed to control who parks next to you, how close they park, and the potential liability if a battery catches fire? ;)
The 3.3l V6 - 3300 was a very solid motor that sounded as throaty as a 3800. It’s a shame that it didn’t more applications outside of the A-Body.
You have to realize that GM never really changed the interior or the exteriors of A-bodies (Century, Celebrity, Ciera, and 6000) very much during the entire generation of that car. 1982-1996! That’s 14 years!
First of all, it is the wrong generation of body to be an “04" (assuming 2004) as the ad is noted on Craigslist. He has it noted on the info that it is a 1994.
I feel that Hyundai missed the boat since the 2011-2015 Sonata YF generation. If you look at the cab structure, it really hasn’t changed. Yes, the front and rear sheet metal look different, but you look at the roofline, that hasn’t changed much. They also missed an opportunity for AWD in 2020, which the K5 has. While…
Ford Transit Connect Van. Even after Ford announced the death of the Fusion in 2018, the Fusion still outsold the Connect by nearly a 3:1 margin in 2020.
I found one of these in Western Nebraska a couple of years ago. I heard that they were used by a regional bus line for some smaller destinations. This 1986 Suburban was in pretty rough (but very much rebuildable) condition.
You forgot the most important part that determines value: Desirability.
