As a former owner of a 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, I concur. The 4T-65E-HD transmission was toast by 60,000 miles.

9 months ago, this would have been a $3,500 truck on the very high end of the retail. It is not very undesirable.

Can confirm. The boost generated from the turbo in the Stealth R/T Twin was a riot back in the day. Wait for the turbo....wait for it.... WOOOOOOH! The thing about the Stealth was that the mostly manageable with the AWD.

A friend of mine bought an 04 Pontiac GTO with the 5.7l in the late ‘00's. I had driven tons of Chevy Trucks with the 5.7l, so I wasn’t initially not intimidated by the car. The first time I turned off the traction control, the car grabbed 2nd gear and we went sideways, I was terrified. Just the 350hp/365 ft-lbs was

If you can find them new, a *new* 2020 Fusion is a solid value right now. The last year of a generation of car that started in 2013, so most of the issues on the cars have been addressed in the last 7 years. If the rental car companies haven’t snapped them up in rural areas, you will find that most dealers are selling

Nebraska analogy allowed.  I may have giggled.

My parents had an 1985 Buick Riviera with the Olds 5.0l 307. Most of what you said is very correct. You were not going to win any stoplight competitions, and the car was perfectly happy rolling 55 - 60 mph all day long. For some reason, my parents Riv had a great top end, and while it took a while to get there, the

By far, it was a 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera Wagon with the 85 hp/165 ft-lb 4.3l V6 diesel. 0-60 from the factory was shown at 16.3 seconds, with the 1/4 mile at 21.1 seconds at 68 mph. But, after about 100,000 miles those stats were much, much worse.

I think in 1986-1988 you could get the Red Dot 3.8l SFI in them, those are the ones you truly want.

I had one with the 4.3l V6 diesel in the late 1990's. It was terribly awesome. Had to plug it in wherever you went in the winter, and got so annoyed with the relay on the glow plugs that I just put in a manual push button. 85hp meant that you had to plan out passes 1/2 mile in advance.

I took it up Trailridge Road

We had a 2001 Volvo S60 T5. We had an issue that the heat would occasionally not work. The car has a Volvo proprietary climate control module that needs to have the damper doors on it trained if you replace the unit. The independent service shop said that it was going to be $2300 to replace the module and have Volvo

I drove an Accord and I liked it. I just want an AWD for the miserable upper Midwest winters, and the Accord is only FWD.

It’s true!  Hahaha.   It comes back that the correct answer for the midsize sedan remains to be the Camry.

I think was Ford / North America has missed the point... which is....what are those of us that use (*and like*) sedans for our work cars supposed to buy? I buy new and trade out just before the warranty period is over. (TSB 19-2346 / Ecoboost Cracked Block reinforced why I buy new.) I have a 17 Fusion Platinum AWD

No... they get Jeeps Grand Cherokee Trailhawks stolen in Michigan, too. And get willful 93/55 tickets in a Camaro ZL1 in Virginia. It’s a right of passage as a Jalopnik staff member. :)

Got online and looked at the HFE and saw that it was 2 wheel drive only and was saddened.....

I’m in outside sales, and I am actually concerned about fuel mileage. I own a sedan for work and the breakeven for me is somewhere around 24 mpg average. Because of this, the large majority of my rural travel is in the car, and I have an older GMC 4x4 pickup for personal travel. I’ve been looking at the F-150 diesel

To me, an exit only turn signal indication confirms that they ARE making that turn. I’ve had so many times in my life that people go into the exit line and then make a last minute dive back into the through line. If anything, if someone uses their turn signal and then bails out at the last minute, it gives me a reason

Signalling my intentions for each and every turn. Whether it be coming back into the right line after overtaking someone on the interstate, my intentions to exit a ramp ... even if it is an exit only lane, or merging into traffic from an on ramp, I do my very best to use my signal to make sure that the person behind

Much like many of you guys, I simply can’t do the ugly purple tint, non-stock wheels, and the ridiculous whale fin on the back of the car makes this one an instant ND for me. However, being a kid of the 1980's and remembering Bill Elliott completely destroy superspeedways in the T-Birds in 86-88, and GM having no
