Ultimately this should fall under the umbrella of universal health care, in general. We have the means to implement a system that works, but not the political will to enact it. Businesses are making too much money off the public’s suffering and they are adamant about keeping the status quo. Because their dollars speak

It’s not even the NBAs fault, society in general should be taking care of people like this WAY better.  Just because the government refuses to do its job doesn’t mean the NBA is responsible.

Yeah, my bet is a few store managers got some new TVs. I doubt any greeters got any groceries with this money(or things they needed)

Knowing WalMart, the ones privy to the windfall probably were upper management. With the hours they cut even from full time guys like me, getting at least a taste of that kind of money would have been generous.

That’s always how I treated my kids, especially my youngest who didn’t read much on his own. But I finally found the trick- at about 7, I got him 2 or 3 Goosebumps books, and suddenly he loved reading! Comic books led to illustrated novels, and so on. And one day I looked up, and Saturday morning found my kids

I am stunned - stunned, I tell you! - that the woman didn’t swoon at his bravado and spend the rest of the flight sitting in his lap, buying little bottles of Kahlua, and planning their engagement party.

wait wait wait THIS WASN’T THE FIRST TIME HE’S DONE SOMETHING LIKE THIS. THEN WHY IS HE STILL WORKING THERE???

Across the internet, this sentiment has quickly warped into the twinned shrieks of “Bernie Sanders said a woman shouldn’t be president!” and “Elizabeth Warren is a liar!” The former is intentionally misconstruing a statement to fuel righteous indignation.

I don’t get why old black folks are riding with this clown. Again, ALL the shit y’all talked about Hillary, Joe actually IS and HAS DONE.  Imagine thinking Hillary was too duplicitous...so you stan en masse for Joe fuckin’ Biden.

Some people are natural soldiers.. they NEED a leader... and without that leader they feel aimless and do more harm to themselves and others.

Why do you say that?

People get shorter with age — men a bit less than women, but it affects both. Bernie is 78, so even if he was an honest six feet in sock feet in his natural prime, he might well be five-ten now. Hard to say by eyeball triangulation, as he leans forward when speaking and sitting. Head and body posture change with age

Sometimes I look at my daughter, I see she’s attracted to white guys, and I think, ‘I didn’t set a good example as a black man,’ then […] They must have seen me sometimes when I was vulnerable and said, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be with no one like that. He’s scary.’”

I’m not a Bernie Bro by any stretch of the imagination, but he’s a lifelong politician who has managed to do his job without selling people out left and right. I honestly don’t even know what Biden stands for other than making sure the winners keep winning.

“If Obama had a 40+ year career in public service...”

There is one thing both sides understand: Donald Trump is a threat not only to black people, but to all of mankind planet earth and its inhabitants. Which is why we should all vote for whoever ends up facing him.

Articulate and clean. Oh my God. I guess Sharpton and Jackson were too dirty and mealy-mouthed? Too black, in other words?  JFC

Joe Biden sees himself as the guy that helped get that “well dressed” black guy a job and now wants to cash in on his “Black People Owe Me” coupon.

I like him slightly more than Michael Bloomberg.
