Knowing WalMart, the ones privy to the windfall probably were upper management. With the hours they cut even from full time guys like me, getting at least a taste of that kind of money would have been generous.

People get shorter with age — men a bit less than women, but it affects both. Bernie is 78, so even if he was an honest six feet in sock feet in his natural prime, he might well be five-ten now.
