wood panel station wagons were gen x too. almost more predominately, minivans had wood paneling.

many people do not know about the exposed hex hole on the bottom of the disposal unit. if you hear the motor but do not hear the disposal, turn it off, stick a hex key in the hole and work it back and forth. remove the key and the disposal should work fine.
