Years ago, I picked up a Volvo V70R in the middle of a snowstorm. I was amazed at how well the DSW06s worked. I bought snows anyway (which made it unstoppable as long as you had ground clearance) but I might not bother now given how little snow we get these days and my ability to work from home.

Damn!

I looked it up (it was business so I had a receipt).  It was $5.99/gal for regular.

The one next to the Phoenix airport is like $2 more!  It was so insane I could only laugh.

The 701 Huskys make (made? they’ve been discontinued) 75hp @ 8500 with a 693cc KTM engine They were the previous highest single cylinder hp. No top-end issues there.

The KTM 693cc single (‘19-up) is remarkably smooth IMHO. A second balance shaft lives in the head.

Right?  I leased a 2011 Volt, the 2nd my local dealership received.  It was at least 3 months before I saw another Volt or a Leaf (can’t remember which I saw first).  Now it’s not possible to drive anywhere w/o seeing 10 EVs of all types, even ignoring the 4 on my own street.

LOL. The lighting tech is amazing. So bright that in a group, it’s easy to think a car is behind you but your Garmin radar lets you know it’s not.

I have to wonder if the genesis was as simple as “let’s not pay a Shelby licensing fee this time and see how it goes.

I don’t have an EV right now but I had a Volt, then an e-golf. Your points are spot-on. There are just so many little niceties about EV. I was surprised how much I appreciated never getting gas. The only maintenance on the golf was rotating tires (the Volt did need a yearly oil change). Pre-warming/cooling in the

That’s the simplest answer though I’m frankly shocked to see such a feeding frenzy over 3,000  of the things.  They won’t be *that* rare.

Yep. My wife has a ‘19 Cooper S. From a start, it brings the revs up before the clutch even engages if you don’t.

Missed this. I can’t think of one for myself but I think I know what my dad would say.

Monthly is what the guys at Classic Coach (Ferrari restoration shop) told me they do on long term jobs.

Click on Purchase Price. A Model 3 is $46,990. The $40,390 number is imaginary.

Late to comment but my investment banker friend told me the ‘smart’ money told Elon to pound sand.  They didn’t want anything to do with it.

Oh, well done. I should have guessed you were properly built.

Something like 3280lbs with the manual. It’s pretty damn quick (and a riot) but it’s also a 1.8 liter with only variable intake cam timing. The Golf R, which has the same turbo as my car, has a 2.0 plus variable intake and exhaust. It’s probably a lot more responsive down low. It cost something like $15k more than I

Spin some wrenches and apply the money hammer and a Golf Sportwagen is a decent sleeper. Not 600HP MB wagon-sleeper, but 350hp is reasonably doable for about $4k. I once passed a hammering V8 S4 up a hill in mine. He was laughing hysterically at the next light. “WTF did you do to that thing?” We found it hangs with my

I was under the impression that 400hp was a good way let the inside parts out of the engine. To say nothing of the coupler/angle gear, which are already consumables of sorts.
