I’m torn, in that I don’t see the humor or need for Dave’s performance. At the same point, he should be allowed to do his act and if people want to watch it they should be allowed to. I dunno.

I love and support the folks who share their thoughts on how Dave’s performance hurts them, disappoints them.  To me, that's how the discourse is supposed to work. You say yours, I say mine.

everyone always laughs until it’s about them. i’m asian and don’t get offended about stupid jokes about us. this is what comedy is, laughing at mostly stupid things youre not supposed to laugh at. a generation of brittle spirits.

Where did people get this idea that these open world first person shooters were supposed to be trenchant political statements and why do they keep being disappointed when they aren’t?

Avclub’s opinion on video games is an embarrassment.

Yeah, me liked these books as young monster, but even then me was aware that, while Asimov have fascinating, grand ideas, he not great at writing interesting characters or giving plot emotional stakes. So me glad someone doing loose adaptation of this, just so long as it not I, Robot-level loose.

Baller move. Yeah, don’t tell people things will be outside and then just construct a building in an outdoor space. That just makes it inside again! I’ve seen so many restaurants do this - offer outdoor space, then essentially build another building in the street with four walls and a ceiling. You just recreated

Total Streisand Effect.

“Fast Times” features a high school freshman (15?) girl banging an adult 20-something man in a little league dugout.

pretty sure stallone is a full-on insane-o now but even he could tip the hat.

Now playing

Part of the best SNL Jeopardy! sketch of all time, but also just a really great, underrated comic.

I’ve never seen so many dead hookers in all my life!

Unfortunately, while he was getting treated, he was at the podiatrist’s office.

Cause of death you guessed it Frank Stallone.

Absolutely my favorite comic. He was a comic’s comic. Man, this absolutely sucks.

Sucks we won’t get to see his Burt Reynolds in an Afterlife Celebrity Jeopardy sketch.

Ugh. This one sucks so much. My stomach is just in knots. Norm (along with Conan O’Brien) likely shaped my comedic tastes more than anyone. I loved everything about his charm, wit and delivery. You just know that even with his own death, he’d have the PERFECT joke for this moment. I’m gonna miss the hell out of him.

Dirty Work is underappreciated imho.

Took “left him holding the bag” to a whole new level.

Yah, we agree on your second point—the review has WAY WAY too much sympathy for Paula. How on Earth did she ever think this plan was a good one? And it really shows her own blindness that she assumes Kai will naturally be able to pull it off (and I guess find a way to easily off load the stolen goods, etc, etc).
