Well, that makes sense. I am glad that they got around to it. Now Jack Black as a manic, I don’t know, hotdog vendor who tricks out his cart to go 200 MPH. Honestly, I am not sure they can go too far.

Maybe Joss Whedon somehow ruined Gal Gadot’s career by getting her in a movie with Armie Hammer. Tenth dimensional chess bank shot!
Mouthfull of poo water does seem extreme. But Enteri is a huge fucking weirdo as I recall.
HEY! Don’t make fun of him. He’ll stab you sure as look at you.
First thing I thought. Maybe he waited until now so that Harlan couldn’t sue him.
I liked the bit when he was asked to register as a hero during Civil War and Khonshu basically terrified the psychiatrist examining him into giving him the okay. Or does he? Moon Knight Vol 5 13 | Marvel Database | Fandom
The main thing that this article makes me think that that we need a ton more Bill Sienkiewicz art. His stuff is so goddamn amazing. Instantly recognizable and really mind blowing.
Second best mentally ill super hero of all time. After the Badger of course.
Well, that leaned more heavily into the mental illness aspect than I expected. I hope it’s good. It reminds me of my favorite line about Moon Knight, where Beast compared him to Captain America and said “He’s a super solider able to master any weapon in seconds, you’re a psychotic in a bedsheet.”
A much lesser-known one, but I don’t think that anything beats UFO:
THANK YOU! I was just about to post this. This show was so different from the others. I would love more of it.
Hey! More M’Baku is a fine thing. He was one of the highlights. I mean, Shuri was too, but Letitia Wright has definitely worn out her welcome with me. Also, in watching Endgame recently, when she comes out of the portal at the end, the backlighting really highlights that she has some pencil arms.
111? Wow! That is some staying power. I seem to recall there was another early Disney animator who died a few years ago who also made it comfortably past 100. That is some real lost history there.
I have NEVER wanted to see something more than I want to see this scene.
He has been in the newspaper continuously since his start, and in other countries, and comic books. He has even made it into tribal arts in Papua New Guinea.
It is some evidence that the world is getting better.
Exactly. A character with an even longer publishing history.
I just want to say how sorry I am you are leaving, and to add that I really appreciated your perspective on race in sci-fi. I am slowly coming out of a sheltered life and I credit io9 with doing its fair share to help me with that. And your writings were always interesting and on point. Best of luck.
That’s me with Toy Story 3. A classic that I just can’t watch again. When I saw it in the theatre and the lights came up, every single adult in my row was reaching for a napkin to dry their eyes.
Oh great, now the Flash kids are going to be screwing with the timeline? That’s going to go well.
