It better have some goddamn Sleestaks.

I don’t buy figures, but I am sorely tempted.

Oh.  It didn’t even register.  She was fantastic on Justified.  I mean, everyone was fantastic on that show, but she was on it too.

Answer: no, not really.  CGI seems surprisingly poor for a big show and not sure about the daughter’s acting there.

Well, I will try Ghosts because the British version is so good, but that trailer isn’t filling me with hope.

Okay.  Yeah.  I didn’t know it, but honestly this is the Aquaman I want.

Every time I read a description of the vampires’ next adventure on What We Do In the Shadows I start snickering.  “The Vampires are trapped the mystic maze known as IKEA.”  “The Vampires start working as Door Dash drivers.”  I hope this show never ends.

Now playing

And the amazing thing is that I think that another Gerry and Sylvia Anderson show had an even better theme:

Wow.  I might be the only one to be really excited about a Henry Kuttner story, but YES!  I was just listening to some of his stuff the other day.  He had some fun little stories.

This is the perfect time to remember one of the greatest theme songs in sci-fi history. Yes, I speak not of Dr. Who, but Space: 1999.

Just have to note that I am with you on Mistborn.  Read the first two books and despite it ending on a big cliffhanger I couldn’t be bothered to read the third.

It would be nice for a movie to have a conspiracy theorist that everyone thought that was crazy and then he almost saves the day and then at the last minute everyone realizes that yes, his idea is crazy and they coldcock him and do what the actual scientist says.

Okay.  Admission.  I am second-generation geek of long standing.  I have never read these books because I thought that they looked like cheap knock-offs when they first came out.  I remember them coming out, and out, and out, and out, and just thinking “Enough already.”  So the question is “Are they worth it?”  Are

Okay.  Happy now.  Thanks.

The return of the SNOOTY USHER!

Wow. It was always my considered opinion that Fëanor was kind of a tool.

I just want a GIF of Gemma Atherton saying “Stop fucking about!”  If I got that I would say that the movie is already worthwhile.

I know that the finally refers to it being the last news story, but I really like the news update today: “Finally a child is born without eyeballs!”

Briefly excited thinking that Judy Greer was going to be in the US version of Ghosts.  Then, meh.

It Came From Below: I like monster movies and caves, but The Descent wasn’t really that long ago.
