I don’t know exactly when you were at Rice, but when I was there Shiner Bock was the only beer on tap at Valhalla and was absurdly cheap.  Valhalla was rumored to account for a significant percentage of all Shiner sold.  That was before it was available everywhere.

I am ready for some old-school gatekeeper to complain that he was running too fast and was somehow disrespectful.

My first, second and third thought.  This scene was fantastic.  My friend says that all the muscles in his body contracted at the same time.

Wow, an Omelas reference.  And a fitting one too.

Gotta keep ahead of the Browns.

Dead and Buried is the one on this list that I have never seen and I have to say that that was an unexpected clip.  How did those fishermen get so sneaky?  And competent at using high-end photography equipment?  I feel I have to see it now!

I tried that once.  It didn’t work as well as I hoped.

Except a lot of people like Forrest Gump, or at least Tom Hanks.

Fun fact: Jim Davis is worth $800 Million from Garfield.  In other words, there is no God.

Until now I would have picked Steph’s shot that destroyed the Thunder as my favorite shot of all time, but now there is another contender.

It’s funny that in the vast universe of sports shitbags I have no problem pointing to Sepp as worthy of a top spot.

Seeing Harden try and whine for that call just makes me hate him more.

I had to look at a picture of Dwayne Wade.

Read most, if not all of the Callahan’s books and really liked them, but there was always something poking at me for not loving them.  I finally realized that there is a strong undercurrent of libertarian smugness that really irritated me.  Gave them up.

Speaking only for myself, but my sympathies are always 100% for the players. They are the ones that have been training and working and practicing for most of their lives to get the chance to play baseball. While not subject to the same dangers as football players, the chances for injuries are not inconsequential.  I
