You have a nice stable of vehicles. The Mk7 really is the swiss army knife of vehicles.
We have 2 MK7's, an Alltrack and an R. R has the adaptive lights - they are great. The Alltrack is an SE, and you could only get the lighting package on the SEL, and they were impossible to find at the time.
I’m a Gen-X’er and my older brother is a baby boomer (he was born in the late 50's, me late 70's). I can confirm he meets all of the aforementioned stereotypes.
