Yeah. This

You should actually research what is happening more. I guess you can not trust anyone, or anything the people involved think or say, but if you listen to what Palmer Luckey is saying, and listen to what Zuck is telling his investors... it's actually probably not bad at all.

agreed

Playful sarcasm. It seems like you are seeing games as a chore/job/obligation instead of something fun. They shouldn't stress you out. PLAY GAMES! WHEEEEE

Oculus Rift's plans were NEVER just gaming. OR's plans have always been to elevate virtual reality. I think that you misunderstood somewhere.

Or at least show how much people are really interested in it.

I'll change. I'm sorry. I'm nothing without u

I'm not sure why a majority of backers would be opposed to this. They got the reward for what they pledged, and the company is more successful than ever. Isn't that what backing is? Isn't it a good faith vote for wanting a thing to have success with a reward?

News from Palmer and his replies on Reddit is that this shouldn't actually change.

Yeah, they already received their rewards.

Well, they actually got close to 2,500,000. Although they asked for 250k... But to know how much the Kickstarter helped to get acquired, and what would've happened without a Kickstarter campaign cannot be known.

Actually with their new bankroll, they should be able to move beyond taking mobile device scraps and get some real manufacturing initiatives going. With all of the bullshit that this acquisition contains, it also contains the probability of a better and cheaper consumer unit that is released faster.

But I love you... don't leave me.

I'm smart enough to know that that was stupid.

huh?

I don't have a problem with the definition, I have a problem with the usage.

The bigger, longer-term issue might be how exactly Facebook plans to monetize Oculus. Zuck said earlier today that he's not interested in making a profit off of the hardware (which is good!) but that "there may be advertising"

I wish Valve would ever say what they think of this. I find it hard to believe that they will be so open and collaborative with OR now.

You think Valve is going to share everything they know with Facebook?

If only games didn't disappear when a sequel comes out... then you could still play it before playing the sequel...
