NO

It's silly to just call everything that is "unit of cultural transmission, or a unit of imitation" a meme. That's nearly every piece of culture.

I have no idea how you gleaned that from my statement.

Well, I have a really good Knock Knock meme for you... it's hilarious.

HAHAH. At first I was like, "What?" Then I was like "YOU....."

Ah, that makes sense.

You hate pot because some teenagers think they're cool and brag about it?

Mmmm 'kay?

Yeah... typically marijuana is seen as a bit of a different level from "bad guy drugs". Ya know? Maybe it was the only drug the developers knew about.

Why do they hate pot so much? Is marijuana a big part of this game?

That is helpful.

But if the value of the food is not higher with the toy included then the toy is essentially free.

I would just buy the toy if I wanted them. Not actually buy a happy meal. So they're not really free in that case. But if you wanted a cheeseburger and fries, buying a happy meal isn't that bad.

So if you bought the food separately without the toy it would be cheaper?

They're still toys and free.

Seems like your definition of meme is pretty loose. I guess technically a commonly told joke like, how many ___ does it take to screw in a lightbulb, and knock knock are memes, but "jokes" would probably be a more useful term.

I'm pretty sure a meme isn't just a joke that a stand up comedian does that other people use.

Yeah, Yakon Smirnoff. Thanks, I forgot that guy's name.

You do realize that you are actually on the internet right now right?

This was a joke by a stand up comedian at least a decade before it was a meme.
