I actually freaking knew that.  It popped into my head.  That’s where the Naval Academy is, and it just clicked.

I wish I could un-see it.

there’s something truly comical about the organization that voluntarily pays Matthew Stafford almost 2 million per game deciding to have tight purse strings when dealing with one of the most dynamic players in league history

I think we’re gonna need a bigger belt.

The thing is, if he really worked on his midrange shot, got a great consistent form, and was able to improve it, his 3 point shot would also probably improve incrementally just as a side effect.

Now playing

Did you suggest that there’s a 7 footer in need of a mid-range sot?

My mom once played that on Words with Friends and I was absolutely horrified. She tried to play if off as her just putting in anything and seeing if it works, but I knew. And now i can't forget.

You kids ruined a perfectly good word: jism.

Plus Steph and Klay shot 5/6% under their reg season %. I don’t expect the champs to wilt. But if Iggy is laboring, their depth is a problem. Can’t expect much from Boogie, and if KD comes back, it’s not like he’ll bre scoring 40/50 pts a game like he was earlier in the playoffs.  They'll need to 1.) Play well, and

There’s always been this outside noise that says ‘If Giannis adds a 3 point shot, he’d be unstoppable’, and I’m over here like ‘fuck that, guy needs a midrange jumper’. A wet midrange makes him unstoppable. So many times in this playoff run he’d barrel into a wall and try to dunk, fail, get stripped, etc. The guy is 7

He might want to freeze some semen before game 2, because Draymond and his foot are coming for his fertility.

It’s pretty easy to make shots when no one is defending you. The Warriors were double and triple-teaming Kawhi so much that the other players often had wide-open looks. Marc Gasol had all the time in the world to shoot his threes.

Warriors might have the worst defence the Raptors have seen so far in the playoffs.

Teams do typically shoot better than average in wins. It’s one of the main reasons they win.

True, and I guess this was also his first ever season playing outside of the San Antonio system, where passing is easier and more obvious.

I dont want to argue with you because I love you to god damn death. Playoff FG% and 3pt% for the Raps including tonight was 44% and 34% respectively. 6% increase in both. Sorry for getting sweaty.

I don’t know if I’d say he played stupidly, but a genuine weakness in Kawhi’s game is he’s never had great passing vision and he’s never been a very accurate passer. Considering how limited his skillset was when he got to the NBA, the fact that passing is the only remaining thing he doesn’t do at a world-class level

The Raptors shot 50 percent from the floor and 39 percent from three, which is a whopping three percent better than their respective regular season averages. Settle down.

They could have crushed the Warriors. I thought Kawhi played pretty stupidly. His teammates have confidence now. He doesn’t have to play hero ball anymore. He had teammates wide open but was extremely reluctant to give up the ball.

We aren’t going to mention the unsustainable and way-above-par shooting performance the Raptors just had? Not one mention? Ok.
