Like less than 6 months/1000 miles. He just flipped it. He thinks the car is a great investment because he found himself a mechanically sound example that was in scruffy aesthetic condition. He cleaned it up, replaced some bits of trim, and sold it for a profit. That's what he does with all of his cars. If anything mec

If the decision were in my hands, I wouldn't have canceled her performance. Instead, I would have asked her, as politely/delicately as possible, to say a few of her own words on the subject of domestic violence. It would indeed be tone deaf to just have her come on and perform like nothing was happening, but I believe

+1

Nope, that's what my old Bimmer is for. I don't have enough money for a car that is both very fast and has nice handling. So rather than compromise on vehicle choice I just do those things separately.

Err, they already did all that stuff with the Z06. It's got lots of carbon in the body, a track-focused interior, crazy aerodynamics, etc.

Damn, that dog has survived longer than a lot of the human rescue workers! Good job, dog.

Oh, no, definitely not.

You're the one smoking the good stuff if you think the C8 platform would be exclusively mid-engined, or that the early arrival of an exotic mid-engined C8 experiment would displace the C7.

Yea, that's what I figured. Using C60 as a delivery vehicle for proprietary drugs much more closely fits the profit models of modern drug companies. I think you'll find research looking into the benefits of plane-jane C60 to be thin on the ground. Still, here's hoping, and I hope you have fun learning something new.

Who says they'd need to get it done in 3 years? For all we know they've been prodding away at this since before the C7 even debuted. In a corporation as large as GM it is not that difficult to tuck away a small 'Skunkworks' team work on this sort of thing.

Yes. It will. By being mid-engined :P

Maybe not the end of the world, but it would be a big loss of momentum for GM. The C6 ZR1 was a well-loved car by many enthusiasts. Hell, even Jeremy Clarkson was willing to admit a certain fondness for it. That's why a 2017, parallel-platform release makes a fair amount of sense to me. It kindof splits the difference

Oh, and since you are actually a qualified research-type person who is probably way smarter than I am, would you mind hitting me with some links to the best/most promising C60 studies that you might come up with while diving through PubMed and such? With a preference for studies that "hold water" from a research

Oh snap!

"Which begs the question, why would they bother with the expense of changing the platform so drastically?"

Aww, well, you will be disappointed; especially since you do research for a living. The link I posted is just about the only proper study that has been published, and it was done on a depressingly small experimental group.

Or, you know, they could just pull a Tesla and threaten to sell the car factory direct. I'm sure that would generate enough "pucker factor" among the dealers for them to walk the straight and narrow.

Ugh, I know, my comment was needlessly outburst-y. I just hate this shit. I hate that such a simple, wonderful, potentially world-changing piece of technology can be overlooked for so long. Then, when it finally does get attention, there are big chunks of the story missing or just flat-out misinformation involved. It

In fact, it has been for more than a decade now. It was originally known as Reversible Inhibition of Sperm Under Guidance (RISUG) and it was developed by Prof. Sujoy K. Guha of the Indian Institute of Technology.

If you ask me, I'll tell you that dog saliva is critical to early child development. There is some minor scientific evidence to support this notion; based on small studies about children who grow up in close proximity to dogs.
