Are you me?? I had the exact same issue all throughout school: so detail-oriented that the forest was forgotten for the trees! Poor schoolchildren, the pressure that is placed on them.

I’m sorry you’re going through this chaos. I’m sorry how alone your country feels. I pray for peace.
😦💔💔💔💔💔💔
I move around a lot, and I ‘friend date.’ If you’ve met a person relatively recently, in a relatively random way and thought “this person is kinda cool” — ask them out on a date. Be really dorky and clear about it — “i really like you, I want to get to know you better. Can you go to coffee on Thursday at 3 or Friday…
I feel like there’s been so much turnover, they don’t know us.
And, given your sparkly brains, likely learned a thousand new useful tools in their omission.
The mashed potatoes look beautifully buttered. We did not have mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving. My sister subbed out scalloped potatoes. :(
She did! She’s just a month from her 94th birthday, and has dementia so her memory of the lunch was patchy, but she enjoyed that meal a lot. Between the four of us, we ate over half of the chicken, and there were very few leftovers on the other dishes, too.
Dude, you called me dude! I feel closer to you than ever, jinni! And to be frank, the steps I left out were necessary. I had ingredients listed and failed to include instructions on when and how to add them.
Not mum. Responded to Short, Pale and Adequate below. All I can do is respond from the heart and as well as I can. I certainly dismissed no one’s attempts.
Just saw this, Short. I’m tremendously regretful that you found anything in that which I wrote hurtful, and I am so sorry for that. The reason I responded to Meteor was that she claimed to have written something to me, and I merely wished to confirm that she had.
It all looks delectable! Waiting for your cookbook. ♥️
I made the NY Times recipe for ham bone soup last week, but I had to use a smoked ham shank instead. It has navy beans, cabbage, ham, carrots, onion, celery, and kale in it. Very tasty and hearty for cooler weather.
Yeah, it’s been happening across the board, and a lot of good people are gone as a result. It gives me the impression maybe comments don’t drive pageviews, or whatever metric matters to them. They can just afford to lose regular readers like that. It’s crazy disrespectful.
Oh, I made a (respectful) negative comment on an article by Megan Reynolds, and the next day I was grey. I’m somewhere between outraged, bummed and in disbelief. It’s so petty, such a display of blatant disregard for their readers, that I haven’t been around much anymore. I like most of the writing and I love you…
ETA: I actually listened to it and kind of love it. Beyonce definitely elevates the song — it’s kind of bland to begin with but she sounds beautiful on it. Just my take. I still think most of her outside work is pretty meh (that running song is not good, and her new with Eminem is easily a 3/10.)
Yeah, all this Sheeran hate. They remind me of people who when you start to tell them about a funny show you saw on TV have to interrupt you with “well, I don’t even own a TV.”
Game recognizes game.
I’m not a Beyonce music person, but I do like Beyonce the person and icon.
Warbly introspective Beyoncé is the worst Beyoncé. Hot tin roof Beyoncé is the best Beyoncé.
