You mean a tactleneck.

I believe they are working on a sci-fi shooter more in the vein of Halo than Call of Duty. It makes sense when you think about it; EA already has Battlefield and Medal of Honor to try and compete with CoD but no franchise to compete with Halo.
I did the same thing. It sounded like all they intended was challenge room DLC (like they did with Arkham Asylum) and that wasn't my thing. I got all the Riddler trophies, finished all the side quests and sold it back.
Correction, the challenge room DLC was kind of lame.
I am no longer proud of the origins of my name, but I have had it so long that I can't bring myself to change it. It all started in 2003. I was a freshman in high school and was really into Linkin Park. I was creating a new AIM (remember good old AIM) screenname and decided I wanted to use the new album title,…
Trials reminds me a lot of Super Meat Boy in the sense that both of the game have levels that are just made for flow. If you execute perfectly then both games feature a grace and fluidity moving through the levels that is truly beautiful to behold. At the same time if you mess something up and it doesn't kill you it…
I have always preferred Fallout 2 to Fallout 1, but I played Fallout 1 without the v1.1 patch so I only had 400-500 days to stop the mutants instead of the 13 years in v1.1. Because of that I didn't have a ton of time to really explore.
My thing is that everything still plays with a layer of numbers underneath. Even if I aim spot on (as far as my cursor shows) I can still miss if my skill isn't high enough.
If you want it to be a snap-shot of this particular point in NFL time then you can't go wrong with either. Also both players were responsible for me winning my fantasy league so I have a ton of love for both guys.
I like healthy debate over a game like DA2 so I will continue.
My bad sir, I read that multiple times and never seemed to grasp that part.
Any way you could put up a side-by-side of the new green vs. the previous one? I am curious as to how different the two are.
You said here were two RPGs that have a Western style. That implies that the others do not, and I do not believe that is the case. Whether its a streamlined game or not both Mass Effect and Dragon Age are still Western style RPGs. They are just a more modern take.
The appeal of DA2 for me personally was that it had a very tight focus on a group of characters. Instead of a generic "your the chosen one/legendary hero and need to save the world" kind of story Origins had it was a much more intimate and personal tale. It was ahoy a family trying to rebuild after a tragedy. They…
I would argue every recent BioWare RPG is a WRPG. Just because it doesn't satisfy you definition of WRPG doesn't mean it isn't. They sure as hell aren't JRPGs.
I found Fallout 3 (and New Vegas, which was better) to be great RPGs. Curious why you thought they weren't much of an RPG?
Well for one you can hear inflections, tone, stress, etc. and also see body language. Human speech is more than just the words spoken and DA:O didn't do a very good job of having your character actually get across how he/she was feeling. Sure you could use your imagination, but in the end picking a dialog option that…
I grew up in the 8-bit age and loved Baldur's Gate (and Fallout and all of the old school PC WRPGs) and I still found DA:O tedious. I don't ever remember the combat in Baldur's Gate feeling as boring and lackluster as Origins did. I honestly felt like there wasn't a real strategic element to Origins (Mage=win for the…
What does playing Baldur's Gate have to do with this? She didn't like DA:O as much as DA2 (nor did I) and that alone means she has a right to comment on why she wants DA3 to be more similar to DA2 than to Origins. It's great that you really like old BioWare RPGs, but if you want to play Icewind Dale then go to GOG and…
I bought GoldenEye: Rogue Agent in high school. It was back before I had a job and so I literally got enough money every 2-3 months to actually buy a game. I was so excited for a new GoldenEye. I didn't realize that they meant a literal god damn eye made of gold. It was a crappy game I kept trying to play.
