Its the second one. If they go too long without a movie the Spider-Man rights revert back to Marvel.

Let’s ignore the fact that the First Amendment doesn’t apply to corporations. Take that away and her lawsuit really comes down to a contract dispute where she’d be arguing that there wasn’t language in her contract to justify a dismissal over her public statements of bigotry. And that’s assuming she was even under…
Even if they fit all the content on the disc you’d still have to install it. Games aren’t run off the disc anymore, especially in the SSD era. Running off the disc is not fast enough for modern games.
For me I think its more that its a good way to say the game feels low effort. Like if the game had interesting gameplay or strong writing I could overlook store bought assets. But when the gameplay is bad, the writing is bad and the assets are store bought it just screams lazy (or incompetent) on the part of the…
I got the same vibe. The cyberbullying sucks but you made a bad game and tried to hand wave it away rather than accept that. It's hard for me to feel too much sympathy for the closure when studios that have made great games can't even stay open (RIP Mimimi).
The entire virtual console library was like this. They charged you a fee to play your Wii VC titles on the Wii U. If I remember, they even disabled accessing VC from the Wii dashboard on the Wii U so you couldn't just play the Wii version.
This was always my understanding. I’ve never played their games but have a few friends who love point-and-click games and they always said Deponia was at best ok and more often than not kind of bad.
Maybe, and I can't believe this didn't occur to someone writing for the A.V. Club, he was trying to do the bare minimum to show solidarity with WGA and SAG. He's contractually obligated to promote the Gran Turismo film but he doesn't have to start feeding the hype train for another project or discuss past projects…
Seriously these assholes make me so angry. Thursday nights are the one night a week a friend and I have set aside for gaming. He was the best man in my wedding and now we live across the country from each other so this was our way to ensure we don't lose touch. Our game of choice is Battlefield 3 on 360 which wasn't…
The age of high speed internet has made this type of launch acceptable, not just for hardware but software as well. The whole idea of hitting a release window (Holiday 2013) and then patching in fixes later has become the norm. As great as high speed internet has been for gaming this is one of its biggest drawbacks.
I am quite happy with my console. I am not a graphics snob and can live with 30FPS and some muddy/jagged textures. I also don't feel like putting nearly a month of rent down for a decent gaming PC when I can get a console (that plays the same games) for half that. Lastly it is much harder to get 4 people to sit around…
5.8GB of that is Single Player and if the Battlefield 3 campaign was any indication it is probably something worth skipping.
I generally don't read reviews until after I play a game or have played a significant amount. I find a few writers/sites who seem to have tastes that match mine and then check their scores to see if it's something worth playing. After I have played or finished it I read the review and see where we agreed and…
I'm not arguing for or against either one. I actually preferred DA2 from a combat standpoint to Origins. I was just trying to explain the gameplay in the most basic terms of what each game tries to invoke and Origins tries to invoke that old school feel of games like Baldur's Gate.
I know I am in the minority here but from a gameplay and combat standpoint I preferred DA2 to Origins. I am curious how far on the tactical/old school side this game sits since a lot of what has been said and shown leads me to believe it is more in that direction. At the same time the developers have talked about…
Origins is a real-time tactical RPG. You control a 4 person party and have can manage everything from positioning (backstab & flanking bonuses) to spells and abilities in combat. While it progresses in real time you can pause at any time to issue/queue orders and take stock of the situation.
The Olympic and FIBA losses were due to the structure of USA basketball not the quality of the product. Top players didn't play for the national team in the early 2000s. You didn't have the Kobes, Shaqs and Garnetts playing in their primes. You had Vince Carter and rookie Carmelo.
Praying that LeBron re-signs in 2014?
It says "Also available for the Nintendo eShop." Sounds like it will just have a day 1 digital version.
This is exactly the same thing I thought. He said he talked to these people and attempted to build relationships but how is he supposed to leverage that when they will just remember him as that guy who quit showing up 2 weeks before the game shipped (and then forced his workload on to his coworkers)?
