I would argue that for the people buying that DLC they are getting at least $15 of entertainment/fun/utility/whatever measurement you want out of it. Ultimately the value of content such as this is subjective, it isn't like money or gold where you can find a conversion rate and find its exact value.

I am hoping that with today's release of MW3 those players will leave the Battlefield and leave the game to those of us who actually enjoy a team based objective shooter.

Well considering the Alienware prize is valued at $1200 I'm sure your $5000 PC will be better.

Nah brah the only thing that matters is your KDR brah. I led the game in kills last night brah but didn't finish at the top of the leaderboard. This game is shit brah I did way more than that n00b that was capturing command points and repairing vehicles but he still got more points than me. Game is straight broken

I actually didn't think DNF was a let down, it was exactly what I expected it to be: an over the top 90s shooter that was built around its "xtremeness" and the low-brow humor. Sure in the 90s when most gamers were in their teens that stuff was awesome but now that the average age of a gamer has gone up (and games have

Can't bad mouth a game that made you its bitch.

I heard that this was going to be made free later, this is just a little bonus for people who bought the season pass/early adopters.

Well considering it is on disc and I have seen rumors that it will be made free for everyone later that doesn't seem too farfetched. It looks like it might just be a little bonus to season pass subscribers and those who want to throw down cash to get it early.

It is going to be $59.99 that is what Bethesda released Oblivion and Fallout 3 GotY at so I doubt they change much for this. It is still a few bucks cheaper than buying the game and all the DLC separately.

I imagine it will be akin to releasing a single episode from the original.

I actually don't do horror well at all. I can't even get through the Resident Evil Remake let alone a game like Condemned, Silent Hill 2 or the original Fear. However, I made it through Alan Wake and really enjoyed it. Since it is so cheap I would recommend "renting" it from GamneStop. You could easily beat it in the

I just bought the Library of America Lovecraft collection. Fantastic stuff.

I powered through it but the remake of Resident Evil and Alan Wake both had some moments where I had to shut the game off and forget about it for a while.

Could you imagine a game where Respawn (the ex-Infinity Ward studio) handles the campaign (I like the MW campaigns, especially CoD4) and DICE manages the multiplayer? I would play that in a hearbeat.

I think in the future they need to outsource the campaign to another developer and let DICE focus on the multiplayer. Even the Bad Company games didn't exactly have great campaigns, they were simply competent. EA has plenty of studios that could do a single-player game, especially when the engine and gameplay rules

What did you expect? You are asking a developer who has minimal single player experience (and remember their last two single player shooters were the super over-the-top Bad Company games) to create a campaign intended to compete with Call of Duty. Of course it will be derivative and similar.

It sounds to me like they are going to use the early players as a second round of beta testers before they finally open the game up.

This isn't about server overcrowding or not having enough servers it is because every major MMO has problems at launch. Essentially what they are doing is creating a second wave of beta testers to find problems so they can hash them out when they finally open up the game.

But there is nothing stopping EA from only allowing so many players to subscribe or limiting the number of downloads as well.

The only problem that bothers me has been happening since they introduced My Player mode: CPU players don't foul out immediately if you are in the game. I was playing yesterday against the Sixers and aggressively attacking Jrue Holiday because he was still in during the 2nd with 4 fouls. I ultimately got him to foul
