The system will always have parasitic loss and the system always requires the parasitic loss plus the initial energy expenditure to regenerate. Nah. The ATP is converted to ADP (adenosine di-phosphate) when the “work” is performed. That conversion releases the stored energy in one of the phosphate bonds. You’d still need some process to convert the ADP back into ATP for it to continue to work and that process would require additional energy.
