Are you me? I’ve been praising this game non-stop on twitter since it came out on lol, while others are going on about Witcher 3. One of my favourite games of 2015. After having global megalord’ed the whole game (took me 20 hours lol), I became intimate with each level’s layout and the muscle memory required to

“Childish bad jokes”

lol Tony the amazon dude

Great read, and reminded me that I also liked bits of it more than the whole, especially after playing Thief 1 for the first time after it especially in relation to the sound design.

Yeah, waiting is a good idea generally for episodic games. Although Kentucky Route Zero is the one where each episode is self-contained anyway, so those need to be experienced ASAP :D

“Andy and Philip seemed to celebrate their sister’s death...”

As a former medical student who has dealt with enough cadavers, I'm pleased to see the push for anatomically accurate gore instead of the meat chunks of yesteryear :P It makes for variation in death animations, so that hopefully leads to lots of "oooh ahhh" surprises when seeing individual body parts dismembered off :D

Episode 2 lets the game breath a bit more, and there’s quite a bit you can miss cause the game isn’t hitting you over the head with certain things. Heck, people missed out on the Dana stuff in episode 1 so it’s not overbearing all the time. Narration in games is a tough one to do considering environmental storytelling

This is better than the Telltale games. Other than Walking Dead season 1, their games never gripped me with the characters, environmental storytelling, and drama like Life Is Strange does. Then the time rewind allows you to make multiple choices without needing to reload.

Danny Trejo in a DoA porn? lololol

Hearing that a big exclusive is getting moved out of the calendar year isn't great for PS4 owners, especially after the terrible reception for console exclusive The Order: 1886. But hopefully the decision means that Uncharted 4 will work as intended at launch. The next big PS4 release will be Bloodborne—which will

Thanks for writing about this and recording some public matches. Nice to see some journalists still got it!

A very confident game, in that way. The developers set out to make a very Verhoeven-esque (one of their main inspirations) darkly comic gory romp that had enough to say with plenty of heart along the way. They made the Nazis more personal and human than any other game, so there even is a slight moment of regret when

The developers cleverly use the game's health system to further build your desire to act out. Because Wolfenstein features point-based health, each stab subtracts health points. You're forced to watch the numbers drop as The Knife stabs you. Even better, because Wolfenstein uses health kits instead of regenerating

Good (and sad) to know.

I try to be constructive in my impressions of a game, but after reading this, I need to realise no matter where I write on a forum like NeoGAF or on Twitter, that a developer will read it. I'll write in that knowledge.

Most of this stuff I actually already knew (endings, rigging, excitement, time and money constranits), maybe because I follow a lot of developers, dev sessions, panels, Twitch development streams, and ask them Qs at conventions like EGX. The new stuff was definitely about the mechanics:

GrenadeSump probably doesn't even own or backed the game.

You gonna admit defeat on the point that the two projects aren't utter failures?

Only have heard of Clang and The Stomping Land. Thanks for the research.
