Backhanded compliment, but the first one was one of the best DCU movies.

Are you quoting the article at itself?

Oh shocking a working actor took a job for work. This isn’t a burn as anyone who is or knows an actor knows. Plus what about this: “I loved the first movie, and the fact that they even wanted me to come in for a callback and then a camera read and then everything in between, I’m so lucky that I got this job,” Zegler

Alex is terrific what are you on?

The idea that Melanie Lynskey is anything other than crazy attractive is genuinely confusing to me.

I saw her and Jason Ritter at Whole Foods one time, and they were smiling and giggling at each other and it was quite possibly the most adorable non-kitten-related thing I’ve ever seen.

She is gorgeous, and it drives me a little crazy because she’s “Hollywood fat” which is like a size 6? with a little tummy maybe, god forbid? And meanwhile us actually average-sized women are doomed.

“We’re pulling hard for Barbie to join that pack, and if anyone can pull off that feat, it’s Gerwig, who’s earned nominations for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best Adapted Screenplay in the past. Could Barbie finally be the film that earns her a nod for Best Picture?”

I’m just baffled how anyone could say anything unkind about this living legend.  I really think it comes down to some people just feel so threatened by someone so talented and successful, gasp, happy, that they need to tear down.

I thought that too at first, but then looked at the links and it listed CODA as one of the worst winners. Hence some of my confusion.

I’ll be honest - I love EEAAO. I don’t think Jamie Lee Curtis’s performance is the strongest. I think Stephanie Hsu was stronger just looking in the same movie. Bassett got to do some capital A acting in Wakanda Forever with those monologues she got. I would argue Bassett deserved it more if we were to look just at

I liked Everything, Everywhere, All At Once, and saw it multiple times, but I’m a little surprised it won this many awards. But I haven’t watched enough of the other movies to file a formal complaint. It’s good to see strange, non-IP, non-Awards Bait movies win, but even still, when I was watching it I never thought

Not honoring her in the in memorium at the Oscars isn’t about ignoring mental health. She easily could have killed someone in the accident that took her life and I’m not sure how far we should excuse that due to her struggles with mental health.

I’m not a huge Kimmel fan, but I think he balanced the hosting just right.

Can’t believe I’m going to say this but I thought the show could’ve used maybe 10% more of him. The middle where All Quiet cleaned up on technical dragged a bit and could’ve used more shepherding.

I honestly think Fraser either didn’t think he’d actually win or was so overcome that he was clearly just processing it all in real time

It’s because it’s Will Smith. When you strain out all the noise, that’s what it really boils down to. Absolutely no one in the Gawker network or Twitter or wherever would be bending over backwards the way they are to act like it was totally justified for a larger man to smack a smaller man in front of an audience of

Loved Kimmel’s teasing about Nicole Kidman’s AMC campaign.

I typically enjoy Kimmel’s hosting. He’s the next Billy Crystal in my eyes: amusing, the right balance of cutting when needed, not above goofy skits or videos, never too cringy. Not perfect by any means, but out of any hosts in recent memory, I think he fits

Also Sacheem Littlefeather, which felt especially like a deliberate “Screw her.”

Kimmel definitely seemed less afraid than before to go for some truly hard-hitting material. “James Cameron isn’t nominated. What do they think he is, a woman?”
