Yeah, it’s super underrated. I honestly think it’s Pixar’s most emotionally complex film since Up.

Gonna try to make substantial progress in Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition this weekend. I’ve been in Agniratha for a while, hoovering up the sidequests so I can unlock whatever the special surprise is. It’s extremely repetitive! But it’s a good way to grind, which I need right now.
This comment is 100% on the money, and the fact that the commentariat of this site is full of white knights — emphasis on the “white” — is why I rarely hang out here anymore.
Ooh, I think I missed that bit. Oh well, that gives me an incentive to replay it!
I kind of enjoyed the infiltration, because I did it the way where you have to disguise yourself as the dumpling shop client, which sent me back to the apartment buildings to find the P41 form. It was cool to explore a building I had already snuck through from a different perspective.
More Hitman 3 for me this weekend for sure. I finished up Chongqing last night, and I think it might be my favourite H3 level yet. It’s the first time I’ve felt like H3 was a true immersive sim rather than a stealth game with some extra mechanics tacked on. The night-time East Asian setting and rain-soaked streets…
Dontnod’s games always have fantastic art direction, but I think Tell Me Why is by far their best. The game really succeeds at showing off both the majestic beauty of rural Alaska and the mundane details of daily life.
I beat Hitman 2 (2018) last night. The final level, Haven, was really well-designed but also kind of underwhelming in that it was an order of magnitude easier than the levels that preceded it. All I had to do was immediately shoot the target who was located right next to the starting point, disguise myself as a doctor…
Chris Cuomo’s gotta be up there.
This weekend I plan to continue my adventures in Hitman 2 (2018). I’ve only completed the first two levels, New Zealand and Miami. So far it’s a lot like the first game in the trilogy. New Zealand did a lot of interesting things with environmental storytelling, even though it’s just a tutorial level. But Miami was one…
On the docket for this weekend:
It would indeed be big news if Capcom were porting a Sega-published game!
My ranking so far would be Jennings > Richards > Cooper > Rodgers > Couric >>>>> Oz. Rodgers gets the award for showing the biggest improvement from the start of his stint to the end. Anyone from Rodgers on up would be a fine replacement.
All the guest hosts have been doing it, and it’s because they have to wait for the go-ahead from the crew to say correct/incorrect (I think it’s either a light on set or a message relayed through their earpiece, I forget which), whereas Trebek was permitted to rule on an answer without the crew’s permission.
Been playing a lot of Gnosia. I think I’ve unlocked most of the game features so far, but I’m still missing a lot of the special actions. It’s mostly enjoyable, but I’m only roughly 1/6 of the way through; I hope some new wrinkles get added soon, or else it’s going to be a slog.
I’m going real slow. I just finished Jail #4. (That’s also my in-game time according to Steam; I forget what the time on my save file is, but it’s considerably less.)
Recently completed: Genesis Noir. One of the most aesthetically striking games I’ve ever played. Full of wonder and delight. Downsides: a bit tedious at times; prone to softlocking; kind of confusing and incoherent.
When I played the first Kingdom Hearts game, I was shocked by how obtuse it was. If you don’t use a guide, there are times when you’ll spend hours scouring interconnected maps for the next story trigger. It’s something they addressed in Kingdom Hearts II, but they also took out a lot of the platforming challenge.
I’m probably going to give Pac-Man 99 a whirl. I got a kick out of Tetris 99, which was an amusing diversion, but I found Super Mario Bros. 35 a wretched experience that completely leached the joy out of Mario. I’m hoping Pac-Man 99 is a little bit more like Tetris 99, which still works as a Tetris game even when…
It’s always been funny to me how this song blew up, because while it’s pretty good, catchy song, I don’t think any TBS fan would list it as their favourite. It’s also a far cry from their more recent, alt-rock material that doesn’t sound like it emerged from the emo scene at all.
