I never claimed that I didn’t want Weiner to ever work again. In fact, I made no claims whatsoever about what his employment status should be. But I get the sense that doesn’t really matter to you, so I’m not interested in discussing this further.

Honestly, I’m baffled as to why the A.V. Club doesn’t seem to be on Weiner’s case more. It’s like everyone has just forgotten about his misconduct.

Sexy owl, you say?

Still enjoying the heck out of Yakuza Kiwami 2. Just reached the part where Kiryu discovers some pretty shady business involving body doubles. Now I need to go buy a bunch of healing items, because one of the main plot missions decimated my health.

The really funny thing about 3 Doors Down playing the Trump inauguration is that they underestimated how liberal their fanbase was, and apparently their fans kinda revolted online.

In fairness, Friends kinda did that itself with Chandler and Monica.

Yeah, I can definitely hear the difference between 320 and 128. I’d have a lot of trouble hearing the difference between 320 and 256.

It’s interesting that you mention how City combines linearity and openness, because that’s a really difficult thing to do, and it’s something the game’s successors (especially Knight) had great difficulty doing. I still think Asylum is the best overall experience in the series, but City is the one that pulls off the

It’s interesting that you mention the tonal change in Prey, because I agree that there’s one, but for me it came when I had visited every segment of the ship, because at that point I felt like I had achieved mastery over the space I had hitherto been exploring. That being said, seeing the entire ship and meeting

Planning to play some more Pato Box and Yakuza Kiwami 2 this weekend. Not much in common between those two games, except one thing: absurd difficulty spikes. Both have easy regular segments and absurdly difficult boss fights (PB more so than YK2). In YK2 especially, street fights can be won in a matter of seconds by

It’s 2018, and Pitchfork is publishing soft-focus pieces on alleged abusers. What a world.

Yeah, speaking as an Indian person too, I don’t want to invalidate the experiences of the show’s creator, but the parents felt so unlike my own that it really took me out of the show. There are a lot of subtle, ineffable cultural specificities that this show lacks, and it’s really jarring.

She doesn’t appear at all in the second episode.

Yeah, I’m surprised Ming and Gabi didn’t show up for cameos. But at least they got subtle nods.

Yeah, Travis Tope’s performance has this really weird, off-kilter energy. On some level, it kind of grates, but that’s because he’s so good at capturing (an admittedly exaggerated version of) that kind of character.

Bernie Sanders’ decision to pout for a while when he lost instead of trying harder to convince his supporters to vote for Hillary Clinton

MILD SPOILERS FOR YAKUZA 2 AND MAJOR SPOILERS FOR YAKUZA 6

On the docket for this weekend:

Damn, I was hoping this would be bad so I wouldn’t feel obligated to buy it!

Not much to report on this week. Still playing Forgotton Anne. Still making my way through Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth - Hacker’s Memory. I want to finish the former this weekend so I can make room for Yakuza Kiwami 2, which arrives next week.
