Thanks for the info! I found a couple of brief summaries of previous games on YouTube that I think I’ll watch before diving in, but this confirms that I’d be wasting my time if I were to watch full-on let’s plays of each of them.

It’s been all Xenoblade Chronicles 2 this week as I reach the final chapters of the game.
Nice Yakuza 0 write-up! These are always a joy to read.
We have to get a smash cut to a few seconds of it at some point, right?
KIIIIIIIIINJAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
Liv’s brain personality is much more subtle than it typically is but still helps to further her plot
They’ll blur it in post, right? (They won’t.)
My brain did not put two and two together to realize that that was the same Melissa O’Neil who won Canadian Idol.
Woohoo, New Girl!
I wasn’t big on the jealousy plot. It was standard sitcom fare that we’ve all seen a dozen times. B99's writers are skilled enough that they could pull it off competently, but it still felt tiresome.
Why do I get the feeling that you’re whispering as you smother me with a pillow?
I’d be interested to learn more about these cults, especially if they’re an under-discussed aspect of rural American life. Do you have any links to articles about them? And I’m curious - feel free not to answer if this question is inappropriate - do these doomsday groups hold any political clout, and have they…
I finished InnerSpace.
Only Yesterday, Pom Poko, and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya are three of my favourite films of all time. Takahata was a true talent, with an ability to effortlessly shift styles and subject matter in a way that almost no other animation director could match. We lost one of the greats today.
I thought I was the only other person who had that opinion. Glad to see I’m not alone. The spirit parade sequence remains one of the most beautiful animated sequences of all time.
I mean, this is the network that edged Eddie Huang out of the show based on his own life, because they wanted a sanitized, easily-digestible version of the Asian-American experience. This shouldn’t be surprising.
I dunno, canned soup always looks super-fake to me. Real vomit is chunkier*, is more red/green/yellow than light brown, and has more recognizable bits of food floating around in it.
That goes for any social media site or forum, though. You don’t see the Kinjaverse sites ragging on Facebook, Twitter, or Disqus for the same things to nearly the same extent.
I think Blood Dragon just about stretches the formula to its limit. I can enjoy 10 to 15 hours of sneaky-shooty open-world goodness, but anything beyond that is excessive. I’d die of boredom before making it to the end of a mainline Far Cry game. (Well, the original Far Cry is a linear shooter, but you know what I…
Major hype for the new TWY. “Sister Cities” is easily one of their top 5 songs.
