Yeah, Severed is the one Switch game I can think of that uses touchscreen controls (and therefore must be played in handheld mode).

Hey Gameologerinos! It’s time for Merve’s Alternative Weekend Prompt (MAWP). This week’s WAYPTW got me thinking about fan games and games that reuse existing assets. So I want to ask you all: What’s the most interesting use of pre-existing assets or video game iconography you’ve seen in a video game?
This weekend, I hope to finish Super Mario Odyssey. I’m approaching the final boss fight, and I think I see the final gauntlet ahead. Wish me luck.
Dishonored 2 is just a worse version of the first Dishonored, so I’d take the gamble and try Horizon.
Zestiria was a frustrating experience for me, because there were the bones of a better game, but they made some baffling decisions regarding equipment and combat, and the writing wasn’t strong enough to support the game’s ambitions.
Uncharted 4 had a very similar photo mode with a range of filters, and it was a joy to use too. I think photo modes like this work for pretty much any game with good art design, decently high-fidelity graphics, and varied environments, and I’d love to see more games - especially open-world games - adopt them. In many…
To be clear, I agree that it’s underreported right now. I’m just spitballing reasons as to why.
It’s a single accusation, it doesn’t fit the usual paradigm, and the original source is TMZ.
There is currently an allegation against Mariah Carey:
Nah, it was just a little revenge porn, that’s all.
I do think Jon Stewart was funnier, though, and better at expressing righteous anger, which is why he was able to get away with equally lightweight political analysis on the show.
It’s strange, but Trevor Noah always comes across as more intelligent and reflective in interviews than he does on The Daily Show. It’s almost as if he’d be more effective as a serious political commentator than as a comedian.
Yeah, I’m not calling for a parade for Macfarlane or Difficult People or anything, but at least they didn’t manage to trip over the extremely low bar of remaining completely silent about this, unlike most of the rest of fucking Hollywood.
I’m really not a fan of this trend where we try to push celebrities to regurgitate our own opinions back at us, but I guess this is where we’re headed now.
Yeah, he’s not very well-liked at the moment. The main reason he’s still prime minister is because the opposition is in total disarray.
That’s fair, but I still prefer Nintendo’s approach where they just announce a game is coming, show a brief teaser clip, and let the hype machine build. That wouldn’t work for new IP, but TLoU isn’t that.
Nobody took this guy seriously, and now he’s vindicated. I hope Barbara Walters and Sherri Shepherd feel ashamed of how they reacted.
I definitely understand that argument, but it seems like this is a problem of Sony’s own making. There’s no need to market games more than six months or so before their release. If you really want to let gamers know something is on the way, just do a short teaser like Nintendo did for Metroid Prime 4.
Same here, but on Firefox. Maybe that’s the difference.
I feel ya. I wander a lot in games, and it takes me forever to beat them. A single playthrough of Dragon Age: Inquisition including DLC took me 150 hours.
