If it’s any comfort, I think I know what boss encounter you’re talking about, and I and most of the other people I know who played the game also died there. (I had to redo an entire tower’s worth of shmup sections!)

I hate that video game trope too, because I end up pouring far too many resources into an unwinnable battle.

Why is this not appearing under the Games section? I only found it in the endless scroll beneath another article. God damn it, Kinja.

Honestly, sometimes it feels like they don’t even advertise anymore. I didn’t even know that Ryan Reynolds and Samuel Jackson were in a movie together this summer.

fastandsloppy! Some A.V. Clubbers were wondering what happened to you. I’ll let them know you haven’t left the planet.

I’m totally with you on the things that bother me about XCOM. (Well, that and the fact that it’s a bug-ridden mess.) I love the fundamentals of that game, but so many of its elements just feel unnecessary or unfair. Cutting out the annoying elements and leaving behind the meat seems like the way to go.

I’d like to remind you all that our wonderful Steam group is still around, and we’re still running our monthly-ish book club for video games, the Revue Club. In this edition, we’re talking about futuristic third-person shooter Binary Domain. So grab a rifle, give a

Which one of these is Mohd? Also, who cares, as long as the comment is insightful?

SPOILERS FOR ULTRA DESPAIR GIRLS

I really enjoyed my time with Yakuza 0, but there are too many games to play this year, so I’ve deferred Kiwami until the January 2018 doldrums.

Games I’m looking forward to in 2017:

Some of us hang out here.

My understanding is that the V3 demo is non-canon, so hopefully some of the issues are ironed out in the full release, though there’s probably no saving the more awkward mini-games.
