Gawker's writers were distributed among the rest of their properties. They're mostly writing for Jezebel, Deadspin, and Gizmodo now. All of them have declined in quality. (Luckily Kotaku, Jalopnik, and Lifehacker were relatively insulated.)

In this case, there are multiple allegations with corroborating stories that have been swirling around for months. The Oberst accuser was a single person whose story was disproved.
