It's sad how shocked I am that an Asian woman has ever won an academy award.

Well if it’s Pokemon Bright Sun and Dark Moon, it’s going to be Pokemon BSDM.
I agree with Patricia. If you don’t already have a 3DS, I’d suggest just waiting until the newly announced Sun and Moon are released this holiday. I played Red and Blue back when they were released in the US when I was in fourth grade. They were loads of fun at the time, but I shudder just thinking about having to…
I’d go with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire...the original games have not aged well, but they have a lot of nostalgia factor.
If they bring out the big guns and throw down some huge NX launch titles that people have been clamoring over for quite some time now (Metroid, F-Zero, etc), along with full backwards compatibility with the Wii U, it could indeed provide enough steam for a solid launch.
NVM, looks more like a woodpecker to me!
Why would they cut off a massive customer base by making it New 3DS only or release on a dying console or barely announced new console?
Pokemon legendaries are often based off of mythology. In Norse mythology there are wolves that chase and try to devour the sun and moon. Their names are Hati and Skoll. I would love it if they incorporated some Norse creatures into the Pokemon universe.
New generation of Pokemon games? Yeah I’d say so
It was to be expected, whatever the NX is, it’d be too young anyway at the time these are released (or it’d not be released at all yet), not enough of a userbase yet, and the New 3DS isn’t getting any huge-selling exclusives like this.
I’m glad they are - that means I can play them without buying a new console (unless all hell breaks loose and Nintendo releases them on Android/Steam). I just hope you can play them on the normal 3DS and not only on the New 3DS.
Happy to hear that they will be allowing the transfer of Gen 1 Pokemon to Sun/Moon. Big, pleasant surprise for me.
It may sound to some like that’s a joke, but I’d seriously never heard of Claudette Colvin before Drunk History.
Things will NEVER be equal in the workplace until they become equal at home.
And what men consider “equal” is often a whole hell of a lot less than 50%. It’s like guys who say, “I’m totally egalitarian! My wife can keep her own name or she can take my name!” They honestly think presenting their own name as a fixed reality and their wife’s name as negotiable is an equal choice.
I don’t if the solution is to have more women in power but I agree with you that liberal men just pay lip service to women’s rights. The chair of my former department was “a women’s champion” in his own words. His daughter was my age and in a tenure-track position at another university. He still sexually harrased me.…
“Why should parenting continue to weigh so much more heavily on female academics than on their male counterparts?”
We still live in a society that assumes (and encourages the assumption) that women stay home with the kids. That’s what conservatives mean by “pro-family.”
