I think Popplio is adorable. I suspect a big reason he’s unpopular is that he’s gonna be pretty easy to screw up, a clown/circus sea lion could turn out reeeeally ugly in the later evolutions. I hope he pulls an Oshawott and gets some cool evolutions.

Well-said, I especially agree on the part about how you have to ignore a ton of shit that doesn’t fit the pattern. I just got my bachelor’s in anthropology, mostly taking archaeology classes, and that came up a lot on the subject of aligning sites with stars and constellations. One example of this is the Nazca lines.

Along with all of my other Sapphire and Fire Red Pokemon, it got transferred to my Pearl. I finally had access to a Sun Stone so I was able to evolve it into Bellossom like I wanted. Said Pearl cartridge later got stolen...

For a while I tried chain fishing, ended up with two shiny Qwilfish. Traded both of them off for legendaries. I’ve been getting back into it, but no new shinies yet.

Cool! My first shiny was an Oddish, in my first game, Sapphire. I didn’t know what a shiny was at the time, but I had never seen a different colored Pokemon before so I knew it had to be rare. Threw a masterball at it!

Seriously, for years I’ve been hearing people say that Nintendo isn’t far away from dying. Sure, they’ve had hiccups and consoles that didn’t sell as well as they hoped, but they’re still a pretty wealthy company and their big franchises still top sales. It’s gonna take more than one or even two bad generations to

Agreed on the DS games, I’ve been wanting to play Soul Silver but I’m having trouble finding a copy for less than $50. I might splurge for my birthday but I’d really prefer if they offered it in a download.

3DS sales started out very weak because there weren’t any popular games to go with it for a long time. I imagine they’re trying to avoid the same issue.

I’m wondering if they expect Go to have a slightly older audience. I mean, in a lot of places kids aren’t gonna have much freedom to play the game as they want. Teenagers and adults can usually go where they want.

VS swimsuits are usually a bit more than I’d like to spend (I’m cheap and broke) but they have a very good selection and try as I might, I just can’t find a store that matches in both style and price. Cheaper options are less likely to be functional, items that look cute and might be nice for standing around but

I’m really disappointed too. Especially since I’m so picky about swimwear. The VS website has always made it much easier to shop for swimsuits, it’s easy to sort for what you’re looking for and they have so many cute things. I don’t like a lot of the swimsuits that are being sold at other stores right now.

Damn I’m looking forward to this movie! When I first heard they were making a “Finding Dory” I was like “meh” but after seeing trailers and other materials, I can’t wait!

Yeah, I fear it will be gone before I can ever see it...

Likely the case. When you bring a kid someplace, it changes the atmosphere. Even if the parents say you don’t have to change your behavior, most people don’t feel comfortable saying or doing certain things around kids. This why people don’t want even well-behaved children in adult environments. And, shoot, these guys

Seriously, it’s not like there are many jobs that will let you bring your kid to work every day anyway. Shoot, most probably won’t let you bring a kid for any amount of time, ha ha.

Scyther is a praying mantis, Durant is a generic ant, Kangaskhan is a kangaroo. There are Pokemon for all sorts of animals, well-known and obscure, but there are few cetacean Pokemon despite their popularity.

Eh, I’m sure they’re also doing it for fun. Lots of people do art for fun, it’s not much different from fan art and fan comics, I suppose.

It happens every time a new Pokemon generation gets announced.

Yeah, when a new game is announced I really do enjoy seeing the fakes. It’s always fun to see what people come up with, and they get bonus points if they make stuff that looks like it could really be a part of the game.

Dammit, now I want a fire goat!
