If they just used “tribal” they probably could’ve avoided all of this. It’s generic enough that no one can sue, at least for the name. (if the design is stolen that’s another matter)

One time my dad bought me a huge bag of rice from an Indian food store. The rice came in a burlap bag which I now use to carry things. Sometimes people ask me where I got it. I always thought it would be funny to lie and say I got it at Urban Outfitters for $50.

Yeah, I was gonna say, I’ve never heard “Navajo” used as a generic word to describe designs/styles. I’ve heard “tribal” and rarely “Indian” or “Native American”, but never “Navajo”.

This is what I was wondering. Especially considering that those items could be advertised as authentic, and the company gets good PR points.

Contrary to popular belief, there’s not actually a huge shortage of STEM graduates. A STEM degree doesn’t guarantee a job like people think.

They want these girls and women to give their kids for adoption to “nice” Christian couples. That’s why they only suggest adoption as the alternative.

A show about a guy like this going to prison would be a great fish-out-of-water sitcom.

This is what I was thinking. Lots of mid-level retail stores are having trouble competing with fast fashion. Wonder what they’re gonna do to try to stay afloat?

Yeah, I hope they keep producing stuff for RedBubble.

Agreed, I though the show did a good job with the race commentary. The part where she beats up the mascot was pretty satisfying, ha ha.

Hollywood tends to be terribly out of touch with what lower and middle class lifestyles are.

Maybe the city has a severe pest problem and demand for exterminators is high.

It is worth noting that this is sometimes done because large sets are easier to film in. Though much of the time, yeah, I think it’s cause Hollywood is out of touch. Middle class families on TV sure seem to take a lot of exotic, luxurious vacations, and have some pricey looking clothes, among other things.

I’ve been wondering about the economic situation in Steven Universe. Does Greg live in his van out of choice, or necessity? Is he the one paying for the home Steven lives in?

Fast fashion has spoiled people. Outside of wealthy people buying expensive status brands, people expect everything to be super cheap.

Discount Forever 21?! Is everything a dollar or something?

Love the face Black Widow is making.

Yeah, people and businesses aren’t really passionate about microbeads.
